Have you actually tried to fit it? That tire is ~33.5" and should fit under the truck. I was able to get a 34" tire under there, barely, but it fit. I now have my 395-65r20 strapped in the bed under my tonneau cover.
If you can swing it I would also recommend a full lift. That said, I have the Motofab 3/2 kit on my RAM and had to swap the UCA's as well. The motofab kit threw off the angles to the point that an alignment could not be completed with the stock UCA's. After replacing the UCA's, all has been good...
The old version were named "Retract". I have not been able to find any installs or reviews with the new, "E-board", power steps on RAM trucks. The Retract steps kind of swung to the side laterally, whereas the new version just swing back and up with no lateral movement.
I have been contemplating adding power steps to my Ram and am seriously thinking about the new Rough Country power steps (NOT the Retract ones). Has anyone put these on their RAM yet? Any pictures or thoughts? These don't use the OBDII port, but magnets instead, comes with the switch, front AND...
I am using the Course Motorsports Magsafe mounts and love them. I have one for bother drivers side and passenger. The 12V port on top of the dash and the front USB ports are both too weak to power both at the same time, so I purchased the USB charging hub below and plugged it into the inverter...
Not completely true. I still have them on my '21 Laramie, non ORG with 12" UC4. I activated them with AlfaOBD almost 2 years ago and they are still there. I just used them last weekend. You are correct that they do not display in the cluster and not all features work, but I really only use them...
My Laramie rear seats fold. Do you have the reclining rear seats? My understanding is that the relining rear seats fold, but the stationary seats do not. Don't quote me on that though. :)
After doing the A/C hack on my truck, I am getting 44-46F from drivers vent with 110+ temps Drove the truck 9 hours yesterday, from southern Phoenix to Big Lake and back. It worked perfectly and kept us cool the entire time. I wish I had done it earlier.
I changed to the K&N cabin air filter a...
Temps have been at an all time high stretch of 18 consecutive days over 110 degrees, and it looks like we will have at least another week of these temps. Needless to say, at those temps my A/C was just not cold enough, so I finally tried the Harbor Freight clamps this weekend (just because they...
2 years and almost 36,000 miles in and I have had Zero issues with my '21 Laramie 5.7 with E-Torque. I don't really even realize it has E-Torque until the start/stop does it's thing. Overall, I could take it or leave it if looking for a new truck.
I also have a '21 Ram 1500 (purchased 2 months before the '22's came out), and I had the rear window leak already. I wouldn't count on it having an upgraded part#, if one even exists.
Thank you for posting that video. I found the section on independent suspension quite informative and pertinent to this discussion. He does a nice job explaining how doing a 2" to 2.5" lift/level, is generally not an issue, but over 3" can cause premature wear and damage to the suspension...
Ok, we have seen you say that a spacer is "Micky Mouse" but you have not said one thing about what the ACTUAL issue is with them. What problems they cause, what damage will occur, why they are a bad way to go, etc. Making all encompassing statements with no supporting info does NO ONE any...
I have a 3" front/2" rear level with 35" tires and I still average ~15.8 mpg mixed driving. I RARELY get on the highway, but drive a lot of roads with few lights for much of my commute. The rest of my driving is in town with regular stops. I only saw a slight drop in MPG with the lift and tires...
Yep. The camera broadcast a wifi signal that you use to connect with your phone. Once connected, you can download clips to your phone. This method is quite slow, so I recommend using your computer to access and copy the clips you want unless you need the clip when away from home.
I have had the JMS PedalMAX on my Ram for 18+ months and have had ZERO problems. This includes towing the camper, tow/haul mode, etc. I can't imagine having to go back to stock. :(
