This was on a 2020 ram with the 3rd gen motor. Not sure if that made the difference with getting the intake out without removing the fuel rail. Vs the earlier fen. I read everywhere you have to take the rails off..
I just did this job. It was intimidating for sure. But it's done now. Code was for swirl valves, used the dorman intake. I did not have to remove the fuel rails or accompanying lines to the Injectors. Do have to remove the fuel line that crosses over rail to rail. The wire harness is a pita...
Well, not much to say really about this new filter. It looks exactly the same, down to the embossed numbers on top. The oil pressure is the same so far as well. I'm not sure about the Ram warranty and this filter. But it is no different than someone using a Wix or Fram IMO.
I ordered it, and a standard oem Mopar filter. I will post my thoughts/notes soon. Over on the jeep ecodiesel forum only one post with two comments on it...first said it was cheap feeling. Another guy said he won't trust the Chinese junk over oem and $15.

Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on this filter? It was gonna happen sooner or later... another company would make a filter.
The dealer said the codes stored were; ANC mics (4), PCM low voltage, and ABS something. Idk if the PM was to blame. I have it connected again after waiting a week. No issues so far.
I bought and installed the Banks Pedal Monster about three weeks ago. When setting it, the screen shows your pedal's output and the Bank's output at the same time. Across all modes the banks would show increased output levels, esp in Track mode...huge difference. But they were all varying...
Two years of this problem!!! Wow, thought i was just an idiot for not finding the setting to correct. @RamCares where are you? How about an update please. Def a safety concern given the right situation. I hate my phone ringing while connected to the uconnect.
I have been reading about FOB cloning, and how thieves use it to steal your truck. It got me wondering if there is a circuit that can be tapped, and a small switch placed in-line. Maybe a starter relay circuit, small amps, low/no fire risk. Disconnect when I exit the truck, so even if the...
Coil springs just don't carry tongue weight very well, just a fact. As others have said, probably should get on some scales.
I learned a lot from this video. (I do wt/balance on trucks, trailers, tracked vehs, aircraft, ect) It is the best have seen for the differences between WDH and...
Like others, I don't have them in my Ram, but have a set in my wifes's car. She wanted brown to match the carpet, and there weren't many options. I was surprised at the quality, very good stuff. Great fit (larger than oem) and materials. They have held up well for four years now. I would buy...
Enjoying the read, and possiblity of improved drivability, less delay. I'll work with the dealer for the flash. I ordered the Banks Pedal Monster (not arrived yet), together hopefully this will be the fix.
That said, bit of conspiracy theory...but would RAM build a wide margin in the...
