Yep, mine works every time. The only way it shouldn’t work is if you have tire-jack mode on. Something is wrong with yours. So your statement is not accurate. You said, and I quote, “you can't lower the truck with the running boards deployed. Air ride will, not respond if the running boards are...
This is not accurate. I always start washing my truck in OR2 with the running boards deployed. After I’ve washed the wheels, wheel wells and lower portions of the truck, I press “entry/exit” mode on the FOB and the truck lowers all the way down so I can wash the upper part and roof. The running...
Mine will stay in eco mode up to 75 mph on flat stretches of hwy with no headwind. Once I get above 75, the eco will still kick in now and then depending on grade. I have the non-etorque Hemi with 3:92 rear end though. I did notice that eco started coming on more often after the first 3000...
My truck has been doing this in slow speed right turns for about a year now. It started at around 3,500 miles. Took it to dealership this morning and they applied the TSB no questions asked. They did not require me to replicate the issue and they just applied the update at my request. In and out...
Thinking of this as well. Did you ever try using the cutout to bypass the muffler like you mentioned? Curious if it would still sound good considering a possible helmholtz effect?
Just did over 400 mile round trip from North Houston to San Antonio. 5.7 non-etorque, 4x2 with 3:92 using 89 fuel. Drove gently running 75 mph. Results 23 mpg on computer and 22.2 hand calculated. Love the 3:92 gears as it seems to keep the truck in eco mode longer than the 3:21 does. Very...
I test drove identical Limiteds back-to-back when I bought my Ram. One with 3:21 and one with 3:92. No comparison as the 3:92 put a smile on my face every time I launched. My wife even noticed the difference and said “this one definitely feels peppier!” All things equal, 3:92 is faster 0-60 no...
Thank you sir! That is good information! Hopefully I am pleased with the solenoid valve circuit I plan to install and won't ever consider the TSB.
I received the valve in the mail today and it is definitely completely shut-off in it's N/C shelf state. Unlike some other servo valves I saw...
Thanks for the feedback!!!
Yes, I agree. If Ram had shipped the trucks with the level of AC you're now getting it probably wouldn't even be a topic. However, if Ram stated that the only way they were going to deliver the truck to you with acceptable AC was to completely tear down the dashboard...
Thank you sir!!! I still have 12 months before warranty ends. I think I'm going to install the 12 volt electric solenoid valve for now and that gives me a year to decide if I want the TSB. Since it is a TSB, FCA will probably honor the TSB well after warranty ends regardless. Really appreciate...
Thanks for updating and reporting your results as this is helping others with this issue!
Curious, did you ever take temperature readings of the driver's vents to left of infotainment stack and left of steering wheel?
I too live in Texas and the only way I would risk ANY dealership to tear...
I found this one, which is a normally closed shut-off valve. Supply it 12 vdc when you need heat. Now to hunt for 12 volt source that is switched off when ignition is off.
Kind Regards,
Lou
***Bump*** Still interested if anyone has installed a 12 volt valve with remote control from the cabin. I'm going to do it myself but just wanted to benefit from someone who has maybe already performed this.
Anyone who has had the TSB done cannot be certain that the dash components were put...
Based on everything I've read so far, not sure I want to chance the dealership maybe not re-assembling the dash components correctly for a TSB that may or may not improve AC performance as well as the "Hack" does. Sounds like too much of a gamble.
That being said, I would still like to be able...
Which vent did you use in this photo? It looks like one of the passenger vents. To see if you have a cooling issue, has to be taken from either of the driver vents, more so the far left drivers vent by window.
