below is taken from another thread.
The 48-11 (44-44) uses clutches to engage 4wd, even in 4wd lock.
The 48-12 (44-45) in the Rebel uses a direct chain drive.
The 48-11 (44-44) never locks and actually switches in and out of 2wd 4wd while operating.
the auto transfer case is standard on most models, that is the most likely reason it shows on window stickers. if you keep looking on the window sticker you will find e-locker on there in the optional equipment
scratch that. i just looked at my window sticker and it does not mention the...
basically Ram has two different transfer cases. Rebel only comes with the e-locker. the transfer case you are asking about is the one that has 4auto. there are a couple of threads on here that talk about the differences more in depth.
I am interested in the opinion of fellow REBEL owners on the sway bar replacement. have you done it? would you do it again? what ride differences have you noticed? did it affect off road performance?
Mine does not hit either. i made sure it was the newest version at the time i bought it (ending with AG). looking on amazon and other sites they were selling older versions.
are you getting the tires for looks or for use in adverse conditions (offroad, snow, etc.) i had a set of Nokian AT's on my 14 Ram and they were awesome in the snow. i will likely look at buying them again when the tires on my 19 need to be replaced.
i agree with the OP. Mine never works great, that is for sure. the system in my 4th gen ram did work great. big disappointment that Ram messed up a system that did work well in these trucks
i got it a couple of times when i first bought the truck. had to really slam the tailgate home when new or would get the tailgate warning. i havent seen it in a while now though
