I had the same issue. Both sides were not flush. They turned some painted nuts/bolts at the hinge assembly which cracked the paint. No touch ups were done. Ultimately, its fixable but will not be perfect. I cannot understand why these auto maker cannot get this right. Same thing on Dodge...

Getting any dealership to look at your truck for a possible issue in Houston is like pulling teeth. You literally have to wait until that truck is BROKE before they will touch it. GOod luck to anyone dealing with service departments in TX.

I can tell you that they loosened both hinge to body and hinge to door to make the adjustments. I can tell by the paint chips on the nuts. Luckily for me I bought the silver truck so its barely noticeable.
