“The photographer said that this truck had the distinctive HELLCAT supercharger whine and that when the engineer got on it to get away from being photographed the truck took off like a rocket.”
They’re going to have to build quite a few of these things to keep up with demand!
Does anyone know what the likelihood is of us seeing a production TRX in that Header Red color?
I realize that the production versions will not have 30 some coats of paint, but I just cannot get enough of that color.
I submitted a Wikipedia article on the Ram Rebel TRX, but, the production truck might be out before the article I submitted gets approved . . . (end sarcasm).
Not a lot there yet, but once/if it gets approved, it will grow - and likely from more contributors than just me.
Glad to see the attention given to Rambox. It is such a useful, versatile feature. I can’t wait to get them (assuming they’ll be an option on the TR/TRX, which they may not be given the niche nature of the Baja version and the fact that the fenders will probably be different).
I thought this was interesting:

Changes to airflow garner another 10 horsepower on the new Hellcat Challengers (with no other engine modifications) and the "Redeye" Hellcat Challengers have the Demon engine...
I recall seeing a rumor about having eTorque as the only option in the future. I hope that is false. I see the usefulness in it for fuel economy and off the line torque for people who do a lot of towing. However, neither of those are things I would pay an extra $800 for as well as deal with...
Very good news. That will keep Dodge in the spotlight.
If they ever put a puffer on that thing, look out . . . a 1,000 horsepower production vehicle may not be as absurdly unthinkable as it once was.
Interesting, the new Charger/Challenger updates came out today, but neither of them are getting the 7.0L rumored to be in the works for the Ram Rebel TR.
I wonder if that will change in future updates.
The interest rate rise has a long way to go before it offsets the tax savings. Wages are already rising as economic growth has led to companies competing for labor (see LinkedIn article), and the cars people buy include things like the coming TRX. Pipelines make Iran less relevant and the...
A recession is highly unlikely. LinkedIn just posted an article about “ghosting”, a new trend where job seekers and even employees have so many offers to consider that they don’t have time (or don’t take the time) to refuse them all and just ignore other potential (or current/previous)...
And the price for Trackhawks is going up, not down. They initially started at $85,900, but are now going for $86,200 if I recall. I was curious to see if their sales were more or less than anticipated and whether that was driving prices up or down (as I was similarly interested in whether the...
Back during the housing crash, my house in Warren, Mi (the #2 hardest hit real estate market in the country) was estimated to be worth roughly $70,000.
Agreed.
This thing has such a high profile, people have been clamoring for Ram to build it, the anticipation is so hyped up that demand will be sky high.
I once read that a Dodge dealership had a customer pay somewhere near $80,000 (via auction) for the *right* to pay an *additional* $85,000+...
Pricing specifics are a long way off. All anyone can do now is guess and speculate. We don’t even know what the TRX production configuration is yet, so to hazzard a guess is premature - and we know even less about the TR (FCA has not officially announced that there will even be one, only the...
The light duty trucks must be atypically popular in the south east Michigan area. Either that or the heavy duty trucks are so popular that they can't keep them in stock. Cursory review of local dealerships shows the light duty models to be at about a ten to one margin for in stock trucks.
