Car Play issues fixed finally and for good !!!

If there was an intermittent connection to the rear hub, the head unit might try resetting the bus as part of its usb recovery strategy. The standard implementation would be to only reset the port it's connected to on the upstream (front) hub. An exception would be if the downstream hub caused...

I'm confused, The link seems to be the same as if I search online. Let's try a direct e-mail. Looking at buying 2023 cherokee altitude LUX with about 12200 miles. Put in service May 2023. What is the maxcare pricing for 8 year 85K $200 deductable? Is this transferable?

    Wattage for USBC?

As a developer of USB PD equipment, my preference is the Power-Z line from charge labs available on Amazon (or Aliexpress for a lot less). I typically use the KM001 since it has more features including verifying cable e-markers, the chargers capabilities and monitoring communications. GRL...

REV vs Ramcharger - who would buy a REV?

Looks like the REV is delayed by at least a quarter. The article states at dealershis in 2025, I thought it was suposed to be 4Q24... https://electrek.co/2024/09/16/when-rams-first-electric-pickup-us-dealerships/

    2025 RAM 1500 BIGHORN 3.0 I HURRICANE twin-turbo, SO, 420HP - check engine light

I assume what your saying is the mechanics of the engine (block, pistons, connecting rods, cams, phasors and crank) aren't new to the industry and as you said aren't all that complicated (compared to legacy designs). Turbo's are a known item and the components previously mentioned are upgraded...

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

If your shopping for a handheld meter to troubleshoot your car, then a clamp-on ammeter is a good idea. When disconnecting a wire to insert an ameter, the load can wake up on reconnection and lead to a mis-diagnosis. While the clamp-ons don't have great low current resolution (10 ma) if you...

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

OMG, that explains why new vehicles cost so much. The sensors can detect the brand and quantity of oil and and gas used. The dealers should be able to use such data to show how bad fuel caused some of the misfire vehicles and even state where it was distributed (get more owners to accept they...

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

The funny thing about dipstick posts is that when I used to use a quick change place, they always showed me the dipstick and that the oil fill was correct (and clean). So with no dipstick, what't the chance of the quick change places screwing up someones truck a few years down the road? Once I...

V6? I thought the twin turbo huricane was an I6. Is this the pentastar or is you vehicle configured wrong (or are they all)?

REV vs Ramcharger - who would buy a REV?

I'm starting to wonder if Carlos pulled the plug on these vehicles. There has been hardly any news on them in six months even on the insider network ($100 contribution for nothing). If the July shutdown for retooling was to enable production of the REV for 4Q, I would have expected to start...

    Tazer DT on 2025 Limited

All the commemts that the 2025 is different makes me wonder how many new modules were implemented in 2025 and if that's the reason for problems. As I recall, the star can bus in previous models (interconnect board with multiple modules connected) was only allowed in LS CAN 125kbps. I believe...

Just bought 2025 1500 Laramie - major issues after 1 day owned

What would I do? Have them take a picture of and show you the screens on the solenoids used for the phasors to make sure there are no metal shavings. They're accessible when they do the phasor. Resale? Unless you disclose this, it will never come up to affect resale.

    2025 RAM 1500 BIGHORN 3.0 I HURRICANE twin-turbo, SO, 420HP - check engine light

This should be interesting. Please keep us updated since if this one fails using the same fuel, it might support that the failures are a SW issue. It will also be interesting to know if the transmission on the later truck is smoother.

    2025 RAM 1500 BIGHORN 3.0 I HURRICANE twin-turbo, SO, 420HP - check engine light

It sounds like they didn't show you a sample of "contaminated fuel". The answer you describe from the tech would make me look for another dealership. When you told your plan to the Tech did you say the most famous phrase with Arnold's accent?

    2025 RAM 1500 BIGHORN 3.0 I HURRICANE twin-turbo, SO, 420HP - check engine light

I've seen implausible timing DTC's for a GM vehicle where the encoder on an exhaust camshaft spun so the timing between the intake and exhaust camshafts was "implausible." Basically the SW in the engine controller said this can't happen based upon all other components working correctly...

    2025 RAM 1500 BIGHORN 3.0 I HURRICANE twin-turbo, SO, 420HP - check engine light

Hopefully the Stelantis dealers aren't PITA's like GM was with the Ecotec engines. The next argument could be the contaminated gas caused damage and that damage is excluded from warranty as well. In the case of Ecotec's they burned oil. If you took one to a dealership for a problem without...
