Don’t drive it like a grandpa. Enjoy the HEMI. It’s made to take a beating. I found that enjoying the drive gives me about 2 MPG less if I drive it the way I want vs. babying it. Just live a little and enjoy the new truck! :D
Sadly not. I moved into my new house with a heated garage if I really wanted to warm it up before going out. :)
I may still do it in the future, but I haven’t got much reason for it at the moment.
Lease to buy. The wife and I weren’t in the financial space to be able to make the purchase. I leased mine coming from a ‘17 leased truck. They took it back 10 months early to get me into this one and I only had to pay $250 for the privilege. I put $2k down and pay $350 a month. Purchase price...
Oh, for sure, I know. I think it’s the extra noise that plays with your mind more. :D
This rig isn’t for power really, I have my truck for reliability and comfort. The Vette or potential TRX down the road will be the “fun” part. :)
I’ve always gone with the light throttle at the beginning, until around 100 miles, and then mixed driving with some redline pulls once warm for the next 400 or so. Then I have the oil changed. Everyone has their preferred method, and that’s mine. I love to stomp on the throttle to hear that HEMI...
Electronics have a finite lifespan... some less than others. It’s normal in that regard. At least it’s a super easy fix that you could do yourself in 15 minutes if you really wanted to.
Noise is very subjective in many ways. I was originally a little concerned that my Borla S-type would be too loud, but how wrong I was. It gave me the throaty, mean-sounding and about the right loudness that I was looking for. I certainly wouldn't want to **** off my neighbors anymore than I...
Premium lights would be on the list for me. I modded mine as I was left very disappointed with the look and the light output from factory. Since changing mine, it’s a totally different looking truck and it just looks amazing! Worth the $2k swap alone for its looks and how it makes the roads...
I think I’d be comfortable doing it by hand, definitely not with a buffer. Thank you, guys! I’ll look into some polishing compounds mentioned and maybe spend a weekend in the garage. Time to fire up the gas heater... :D
Hey guys,
While washing my truck this afternoon, I noticed I have a lot of light surfaces scratches that I can only attribute to brushing snow off of my truck. While it isn’t a huge deal, I take pride in having a good looking vehicle and it bothers me that my paint already looks so poorly in...
I haven’t had any issues with mine. Doesn’t matter it there’s an error if they keep working, right??
Clear the errors and see if they return, as said. Truthfully, I think you’re worried about a nonissue. My dealer never mentions anything about codes or errors regarding my lights.
Sorry to hear that, dude. It’s for this very reason that I run a dash cam in my vehicles! I see far too many morons that shouldn’t be allowed to ride a bicycle, never mind drive a damn car! Yeah, because driving around the block at 25 and making sure you can stop at a stop sign is enough to...
I mean, truthfully, if you’re worried about “wasting” $5 on a filled tank, you’ve got much bigger financial issues. ;)
I get my gas at Costco and always get 93. For the sake of 20 cents a gallon... I’d rather have that extra peace of mind! I like to give mine a good beating, especially with my...
I wouldn’t go either. Look at the bigger picture. Once this all blows over... you’re back to wanting a truck and will end up getting one again. Stick with it and let her put a smile on your face when you drive. :)
