I'm a big fan of the 4 gen 5 spoke wheel. I thought it looked great on my 2012,. Black rhino wheels makes a 6 bolt 5 spoke. Not real expensive. I'm tempted.
I think 5 spoke wheels look better. But that's just me. Called an everest.
I had trouble when I got the truck for 2 weeks. It finally settled down. I guess it learns? If you misphase any one speaker the ANC will let you know, its an annoying low freq hum. Like I said drive it after the change with door panels off so that you dont have to remove again.
Finally got the passenger mirror and installed it. Everything works. All is right with the world. Especially since I dont have to jump out to fold the mirrors when I park in my garage any more!!
On the right door the green wire has a purple tracer. That is the positive, however on the ram they flipped the connection. they have the cones firing inwards so this wire actually connects to the negative of the speaker. I don't think the tweeters are part of the ANC, the frequencies are...
NO, its a passive element. Usually the positive is a larger terminal or its marked. Typically when putting a battery across the terminals when the + is connected to the + of the speaker the cone will move away from the frame.
Use a c cell battery & 2 wires Touch to the speaker connections. One way it will move out, the other will move in. + to + i think moves out. If you get it wrong the ANC is relentless! I tried it. I should have took a photo. I have to travel this week. I will try and get a pic next week. of...
Thanks for the tip!! I ordered a pair. Great price. Amazing someone can make 2 spring and ship for that kind of money.
I trust that It didnt effect the ride?
For those of you that are soldering Iron savvy. I took the socket off the factory driver. Clipped it and soldered the tabs onto the new speaker terminals. Worked perfect! no harness. polarity, polarity..
Update. The tweeters in the dash are 8 ohms. The 4 drivers in the door of the Bighorn are a relatively good driver. I switched to Fosgates anyway. The factory door driver is about 3 ohms. Its an odd ball.
Fair to say that in fact you can run a 4 ohm driver. I did notice a slight decrease in...
Excellent thanks. Actually I was looking for the internal type. It seems the laramie has it and works with the remote. I dont need the remote feature though.
Does anyone know if the parts to make the tail gate drop slow on a Bighorn are retrofitable. I dont like having a gas shock sitting on the side to do the same ting.
Metra adapters... Speaker phasing. You have to get the +/- right or you will have some bass cancellation issues. Not to mention fooling the ANC mikes. I pulled the bighorn tweets and 6X9's. Pretty basic stuff. I went with Rockford fosgates and infinity tweets up front. Make sure you match...
Not setabble that I know of. I thought mine were hitting but they are not . close though. I dont know if they are current limited. Try to put something 1/8" thick between them both and see if it holds the position?
I have a new mirror on the left the tow mirror on the right. I did the bypass and genie. The left one works I should have the right mirror tues. I thought the mirror was bopping the glass also. It is not, it has an internal stop. Check it..
It seems the numbers are all over the place.
They gave me
68276501AE
68276500AE
others have
68276506AE
68276507AE
e bay
68276505AC left
68266504AC Right
have chrome tops.
I hooked up the drivers and did the genie thing. It works, also hits the window. Not sure what to do about that...
Did anyone here get their mirror kit from infotainment? Do you have the actual part numbers?
What they are telling me is incorrect. Their numbers show a $175 mirror. Cant be.
