Hey....how's this spoiler holding up? I'm thinking of getting one (a bit concerned there is only tape holding it on though). Also, have you noticed if it "funnels" any more rain under the tonneau cover & into bed due the incline of the spoiler??
I had to do mine due to someone backing into me. Not too hard....the WORST part is getting the tailgate plastic top protector off. There are multiple catch clips that you have to undo 1 by 1 while putting something under the already loosened parts (start at one edge) to keep the clips from...
Good to know, glad you made out well. Sometimes it's a crap shoot though as to how well the truck will turn out and having to depend on the techs to put it back factory perfect. Saw you live in Texas so it was a no brainer for you to have the TSB done. Leaving the clamp on year round like you...
Not the one in photo you linked but the one with the threaded line clamp is an easy on/off - can be done in 30 seconds. There's a photo of that upthread....I'll post when found.
EDIT: Here it is:
I think in order to do the TSB requires an involved teardown of the dash & innards of the truck. Some would rather not have that done assuming it may not go back together again (well, it will but they fear their trucks might wind up not like it came off the factory line - esp. if done by an...
Yes, there are old Mobil 1 ads on Youtube....however, as I said, none that I can find that mention or advertise the "25,000 miles without an oil change" promise. And I know that those tv commercials were on the air in the mid to late 70's before they disappeared. Please link one if you can find...
Nah....Lottery tix are a joke. But I got a Nigerian Prince who is promising me a large fortune - he just needs my help in accessing some funds. I just gotta wire some cash to an offshore bank in a 3rd world country and then sit back and wait for my payday...then, it's easy livin' for me.
Obviously they make money off of them....just like life insurance, not everyone is going to wind up using it or benefiting from it but it does have its purpose and is very comforting to have when things goes wrong. I do though gauge my opinion on the fact that put minimal miles on my vehicles so...
It's insurance though against a big costly repair. I'm a proponent of them today due to the complexity of modern vehicles - the computers, electronics, etc . which control almost EVERYTHING. I had another veh. w/ ext warranty where the trans went and issues with the PCM. The ext. warranty paid...
I assume he means a 3rd party warranty service. Maybe better in his neck of the woods but everything I've ever heard about those types of warranties has been mostly terrible. People think "hey, I got a much better price not going thru Mopar/OEM" and think they got a deal.....until they have to...
Yeah - it's about $300 - 350 more for the Max care 8yr/60K ($100 Ded) plan. I went with the regular plan (non money back guarantee) but I'm 2nd guessing my choice. I might call & see if I can pay the additional cost to upgrade to the refundable plan. I plan on keeping my truck for at least the...
Price is nice but seems like a cheaper knock off....nice, flashy webpage but no phone contact (only email/fill a form). I'd be concerned if problems came up about their warranty and/or getting things addressed also. PC/Sprint/Banks both have excellent customer service AND a physical person you...
I checked all over Youtube/internet again to see if I could find any vids of the old Mobil 1 commercials but couldn't. However, I did find an old print ad (the ONLY one I could find anywhere) after searching old images:
I've posted this elsewhere but....I'm old enough to remember when synthetic oil became "a thing". And I remember it was Mobil 1 who was the number one player/pusher of it at the time which was in the later 1970's or so. I have a great memory & I distinctly remember the original Mobil 1 tv...
Thanks for all that. I did do several searches here before posting but the search function is a bit lacking in narrowing down results (I even checked "search titles only" but did not see the one you refer to). Guess I may reconsider now....I can probably also try both by ordering thru Amazon to...
Little late to this but no way would I go with the Pedal Commander. I'm going with the Banks Pedal monster. I found the vid below (yes it's by Banks but it makes some extremely good points about the voltage issues causing limp mode problems with the PC & Pedal Max - they even actually show the...
My whole A/C system went out a few days ago - still under original warranty (less than 2 weeks left on it...whew!). Heard back from dealer today - they said the a/c compressor failed and needed replacement (which will take a few a days to get). They also said system may now be "contaminated"...
