I will play devil's advocate here and say this...
There are a lot of crooked dealerships out there, yes, but there are some that have good sales people, and some that have good mechanics/service advisors. Its rare to find one with both. And some will change, based on management changes.
The...
Greetings!
Would you mind posting some information about your vehicle? That would help us help you further. Model year, engine, trim level, 4x4 or 4x2, etc. Many of us include this in our signatures, located at the end of every post, so that we don't have to type it up repeatedly.
When you...
I had a 2014 as well. If it was the Hemi, then it had the old school clutch fan and a supplemental electric fan on the radiator. The supplemental fan usually only came on when you engaged the A/C, if memory serves. Was so happy when I saw the 2019+ had gone full electric.
If I had done it the right way the first time, yes, this would have been all that was needed. However, I tried cheating/being lazy, and spraying various lubes onto the clips without taking the wheels off or the brakes apart. This is how I accidentally got my pads contaminated, and made them noisier.
Ignoring the rotors debate, yes, these pads work well. I've had them for many months on the front wheels without issue. Power Stop Z36-2179.
I accidentally contaminated my factory pads while trying to get rid of the infamous brake clip squeak with less than 10k miles. So I installed just new...
I am pretty sure the 10% down payment piece is crap, but I know the four payments part is B.S. Many dealers tell you that, regardless of affiliate pricing or not, because if you refinance or pay it off before the 4th payment, they do not get their portion of the "kickback" from the finance...
Credit Unions, at least around here, always require membership before you can use their services, including auto loans. For ours, we just had to open a savings account with at least $20 in it. Best interest rate short of a 0% finance deal through Chrysler Capital when they run those promotions.
I know your post is a month old here, but my situation is almost the same as yours. My 2014 had the 44-44, and it was the primary reason for trading that truck in; I could not trust it's 4x4. I also purchased Brandon's switch kit, and unfortunately for me, it was only a mild improvement.
I had...
When I bought my CPO 2010 Dakota in 2012 with 18k mikes, I received the remainder of the 3/36 factory warranty. I know it worked because I had a wheel bearing replaced under that warranty a few thousand miles later (cannot recall exact mileage, but I do remember it being more than 3 months/3,000...
I've never heard of it being covered under the emissions warranty. Powertrain warranty covers it, but a lot of dealers try to dodge that, unfortunately, even though its spelled out plain as day in the manuals.
Lots of guys with 4th gens have done shorties without issues, no tunes required. YMMV, but most should not require a tune. As others have said, that may void any warranty on your exhaust system, but it shouldn't void your warranty overall. Many shady dealers will try that though.
Chevy/GMC did it for their 1500s, a 2.7L four cylinder turbo, although they at least made it the same size as the smaller Ford EcoBoost V6. Its not a dumb question to ask, based on other manufacturers.
I would not want one, but its not a dumb question.
Stock Hemi plugs used to be coppers; they are not on the 5th gens. If they were copper, they wouldn't last 100k or anywhere near it. Ever since the 2014 models (4th gens), at least, they've used iridium for the plugs in the 5.7s in the Ram 1500s.
The trick with the ruthenium vs iridium...
I only had the 22s for less than 1000 miles before selling them. I never even tried to take them off road or even on gravel, so I cannot compare them to that. I can say the ride is a bit better over streets with the 18s.
The Rebel 18" rims are tight, with only a little clearance over the...
Did you reach out to Morimoto or whomever did the retrofit? Morimoto sometimes has decent customer service, they may be able to point you in the right direction. A good retrofitter may have some wiring experience and can possibly point you in the right direction.
This is one of the reasons why I sold my 22s and opted for 18" Rebel wheels with A/T tires. I loved the look of the 22s, but hated the lack of sidewall and grimacing every time I hit a larger pothole or accidently did a curb check.
Were you in off road 1 or 2 mode when you went over the...
My father's 2022 Limited he just bought came with the black chrome Ram logo on the steering wheel, and it is not a Night Edition or similar, as he likes his chrome. It appears to be on more than just the TRX, so it may be easier to find than you think.
This 100%. Ram does not advertise their system as lane centering, it is a lane keep assist system. Not saying the Kia/Hyundai system isn't nice, just saying that we're not comparing apples to apples here.
