The amp update takes a while at least 20 minutes as I watched. The TSB is here on the site where they are all posted. Get everything updated while you are there, the trans has an improved shifting update as well.
Went in and had the recall flash for the adaptive cruise, radar collision avoidance whatever done, also had the amp update done, sounds a lot better and louder. Also, there were several other system updates, including the transmission, it seems to shift a lot nicer now. The description says...
As previously posted th TSB for the HK system is out. It is quite a bit louder now! It also sounds different, in a better way. No it doesn’t hit like an aftermarket 10” cranked up, but it sounds really good to me. I was pretty happy before, but this is a nice upgrade.
I do use a iPad mini in...
I have this exact noise, just started as the weather cooled off, once left rear door or cab corner, only when turning right through dips that twist the body. Have you any more info on this? I’m going to try to find it in the next few days.
Be sure you set the park brake before shifting into park. This will keep the load off whatever locks the trans, in the older trans it would be called a park pawl. I usually only hear the clank noise when I don’t use the park brake, which isn’t very often.
It's the park lock mechanism in the trans I believe. Pretty sure its normal. Its a loud clank type noise, doesn't always happen, I think its got something to do with the load on the trans after parked. There is a message in the cluster display stating something about it. This trans doesn't use...
Did you buy the black accessory tow mirrors? Did they have the blind spot warning indicator ? I want black tow. Mirrors but I don’t think they have the blind spot indicators?
It’s hard to get it to turn with a Phillips I use a thin flat blade that only goes In one slot not both like a Phillips. I tried number one and two Phillips neither fit well. Try a small flat blade and I’m sure it will adjust.
I have no issues with water on mine with the old rails. I agree they might be slightly too short but they do work if you already have one it’s worth putting it on.
Try pushing set and driver 1 or 2 after you set your presets , mirror or generally anything that is a preference. It will stay after that.
As far as loud goes, I think it’s alright, not overwhelming by any means but it’s a good sounding system. Someday they will fix it. Maybe
It won’t fix it, just be ready to be disappointed. The whole HVAC system In the truck is jacked up. The auto doesn’t work right, it blows ac cold air when it’s set to 72 and it’s 50 outside the if you turn it up after a few minutes it gets too hot. The drivers and passenger sides aren’t the...
I had no problems with the install. The tailgate works fine with power release or manual. I can’t compare to the proper part number for the 19’. But the $1000 bucks I saved made me happy.
I’ve had a few (4) backflips. The original shiny metal one dented in the hail, the second one got bent...
