I saw on another forum that Amsoil is recommending a couple different oils. Started with the european oil, but now recommending a heavy duty diesel oil.
I'm getting close to needing my first oil change. Just not sure which way I want to go and who to listen to.
On the ecodiesel, the heater hose is rubber then hits an aluminum section at the bottom corner of the engine block, then back to rubber up to the firewall
Did you clamp it up by the firewall or by the engine block?
im trying to decide where to install the valve. Seems like it would be more hiddenup behind the engine. My dealer is the worst...so I want it to go unnoticed
Have a photo of your setup? This ecodiesel is way different.
My local dealer might actually be the worst dealer around...in fact they had the lowest customer satisfaction percentage in the nation according the new service manager who said he was going to turn it around. That was a year ago...
Anyone with the ecodiesel put a ball valve in the coolant line to lower the A/C temps yet? Not the same setup as the hemi, so I don’t have anything to go by.
Temps are now in the 100+ range here and this a/c doesn’t cut it. My 4th gen wasn’t great, but this is even worse.
Anyone added the valve to the Ecodiesel yet? Different hose setup. Only one comes up to the top front of the engine block. It's hardline to rubber back to hard line. I could also tap in towards the firewall.
Mine is a 2020 ecodiesel. Turn your recirc air on and in 15-20 it will go through a open/close process behind the glove box. Sometimes it closes back off completely.
At 75 mph it is pretty loud. You have to toggle the recirculating air button and it will seal back off.
Mark,
Thanks for reaching out.
I will definitely ask my dealer about it, but given they have always been extremely difficult I don't plan on getting very far with them.
Plus, given the experiences from the other threads with multiple complaints about this - looks like Ram has just given the...
This has been driving me crazy. I have searched multiple times and haven't seen any solution.
Every 15 or 20 minutes, the air recirculater sounds like it gets stuck halfway or something. Temp of the air changes and its loud. I have to turn the recirc button off then back on to get it to...
Doesn't matter if you owe or get a refund. It's still a "refundable credit". If you owe $20,000 next april - there will be a $1,200 (or whatever you get) refundable credit shown...but you got it 12 months early - so you still owe $20,000. Just keeping tabs on it and it's the best way to give...
