The wire runs down the A-pillar (outside, along the windshield) where you then go under the plastic cap into the engine compartment. It's actually very easy to get in from there.
These photos are on the passenger, but AVS does it the same way on the driver side. They're where I got the idea...
It is a lot, but sounds about right.
6" lift is roughly $2,250, 37" tires are roughly $400 each so $1600 and 22" wheels would probably be $300 each at a minimum so at least $1200 for those. Comes out to about $5K just using rough numbers. A little more/less using actual product prices doesn't...
Well the 3.6L makes 305 hp, so it's certainly capable of turning the 37's down the road but I don't think it's ability to move the truck is the issue. I suspect the bigger issue is a matter of the available toque along with the gears (3.21 or 3.55) and the subsequent effect it'll have on...
Well I finally got around to mounting my spare. I have a matched spare, so it's another Rebel wheel with the same 285/75/18 Cooper AT3 XLT tire.
I should mention that the test fit I did to confirm they fit was a bit misleading since the shop only had them at 28 psi. Yes the 35 fits, but with...
Yeah my last Ram had the fold flat floor too, but that was a CC. I don't think it's available on the QC which is why I had to get creative this time. There's a lot of options/ideas out there for you though.
Absolutely. They actually reference that issue in the civil case stating the failures will some time occur at the end of warranty or shortly after it expires.
The fact that they're at least talking to you is promising. Maybe they'll help you out after all.
It's not bad but not a huge...
Ooo, now I'm intrigued.
Thank you, I appreciate that. Nope, not a lawyer, I'm an engineer. Yup, big nerd here. I was serious when I said that a few pages ago, while talking about the air flow through the vents.
That said, I'm not foreign to the court process either. I have a unique skill...
Attached is a copy of the motion filed to the court. Effie Johnson Norman, v. FCA US, LLC, Case No. 2:22-cv-11393-TGB-CI. You can read the full 72 pages via the attached pdf, but here's a few highlights.
Page 2: ".... This action arises from FCA’s failure, despite its longstanding knowledge...
Agreed, that's how it should be handled. I suspect Big Gunz would have been happy with that resolution too.
Unfortunately, it sounds like he's getting stuck with the whole bill minus a small discount (still out of pocket well over a grand). IMHO, that's unacceptable. Sure the bumper to...
I didn't write the article. I'm not saying it's a cover up or that they hid anything. I was just pointing out that there is a class action suit that is relevant to Big Gunz situation.
Specifically, the etorque battery and/or system has failed as a result of the leak causing water damage. If...
That's pretty good mileage. I was only getting 20 ish mpg with my Wrangler and I thought I was doing great. Although I drive almost exclusively rural so not really city or freeway. I'm talking 2 lane roads that are typically 45-55 speed limits.
Personally, if I'm spending the kind of dough they want for a TRX, I'm not even considering the TRX. I'm going straight to the Power Wagon, or a Limited Longhorn 2500. Much more usable trucks for less money.
I just don't see what everyone's fuss is about the TRX. If I want to go fast I'd be...
Your assumption is correct. Original owner bought it November of '18 so it's been past the 36 months for a while now.
That's undoubtedly the main reason for the warranty issue. Although I still think the etorque's warranty (which is longer than the bumper to bumper) should still cover that...
I would assume the Rebel's silver part is metal. Obviously the A.D. one certainly isn't meant to be functional.
Technically, you could paint that part any color you want too, it doesn't have to be silver.
As for the air dam. Yeah it looks like it has to be there but who cares if it is.
I don't know, I like it. I'd like to see it on some trucks other than the promo shots.
IMO it's not too different from the Rebel bumper, which I'm sure is the look they were going for. I like the lights added below the grille too.
