You need new shocks with the 1" longer springs.
Bilstein 5100's are $200 for the rear pair. Then their are a few coil spring options like the ORP, Bilstein, Icon ect that provide the lift.
But you need a longer shock to handle the longer spring.
I read one comment in another post where they said if the fenders measure exactly the same height, you are actually nose high.
Meaning the rear fender is cutout slightly higher than the front.
The poster said he used a level under the doors on a flat garage.
Maybe on the bed rail would work...
I would do 2" personally, but im shooting for .5" rake. I would rather have a little rake than squatted even if barely noticeable.
Plus the bonus of not worrying about your UCA's
I used 4 cans, but could have probably used 5.
This was my first time spraying an undercoat product so I got a case of 6 cans on Amazon.
Also bought the spray gun can attachments that make it a little easier.
If you google Blaster Surface Shield you will see the video from a guy who does great...
Do you have to remove the active air dam if you remove the lower lip?
Does it stand out too much if you don't remove it?
Or it just wouldnt work right after removing the valance?
I would like to remove the lower valance, but I wasnt planning to remove the automatic air dam.
👆True
But I just cleaned out all the junk in the old truck, so it will take some time to accumulate that level of junk again haha.
I was going to lay down some felt or that rubberish mesh matting you use in kitchen and tool drawers. Still might do that, but I did order both of the above...
Blaster Surface Shield undercoating. (Did it yesterday actually)
Like Fluid Film, but supposedly lasts 2 years and doesnt totally wash off from water spray.
A bit messy, and would be super easy with a lift.
I used the little ramps to get some working room.
Was kinda a PITA, but cheap piece of...
So now I am confused...
Does a 295 not fit on the 9" wide wheel?
I assumed the range shown on Toyo's site meant 9" was within the range.
It says 8.5-9.5-10.5 with the 9.5 in bold.
Does that mean it only fits a 9.5" wheel? Or is it any size between 8.5-10.5?
Toyo's site states "Bold designates...
Im no expert, but on the 5th clip you shouldnt need UCAs from what I have gathered, and the 34's should fit. Might need to bend some plastic in a spot.
Anything over the 5th ring I am not sure.
I have read where others here reported a clunking too high on the Bilsteins. That may be only with the...
I have been back and forth between 285/55r22 and 295/50r22 for my Laramie Night Edition.
I dont have much rake as it is now, so I am considering adding just the 1/2" Wulf spacers to the front.
I am wondering if the 295/50r22 will fit with just a small level in the front.
llI am mainly interested...
No I have a Laramie with the flat black 22's. Which it looks like the OP has.
The black noise touch up was recommended in another thread, but that color is for the Limited night edition 22's I think.
I tried it on my Laramie wheels and it has some silver flake in it.
Im doing the new Blaster Surface Shield.
Supposed to last 2 years.
Just got a case and some spray gun type attachments for the cans.
I plan to do it myself with some ramps in the driveway.
Cheap piece of mind.
Fyi the rubberized coatings are generally frowned upon because the metal can rust...
Mopar has wheel repair kits.
We are still trying to figure out what color is the match for the laramie night edition wheels.
Black Noise is for the limited.
I think the low gloss black is correct.
I just used Testors 1137 on mine and it is a good match. I didnt prep it good enough so I am going...
I am going with 295/50r22 as well think.
I am planning to level first though.
285/55r22 are also an option if leveling.
Sorry no help on stock suspension.
So likely a dumb question, but the thinner .25" or .5" spacers are not hub centric correct?
So less of a reason to go with Bora's?
Although the Boras are only $33 for a pair if I am looking at the right ones, so probably would just get those. 🤷♂️
I really only want to bump the wheels out a hair.
Thanks.
I was close to buying a laramie sport in that color and had some bronze wheels picked out.
Ended up with a white night edition.
Your truck looks great and makes me want to paint mine Olive Green Pearl.
