I'm also in CA... I always tint rear doors & rear window 5% over whatever factory is and 35% front. This time I went with 50% on front doors and regretted after two trips during 100+ degrees sunny days. I went back to tint shop and changed front doors to 35% and decided to do windshield 50%...
Last week finally tinted... My guys used Suntek (on my last 4 family cars) for many years but last 3 years switched to Rayno S7 ceramic and highly recommended. I've never used Rayno before but so far I don't have any objections.
Rear doors & rear window -- 5%
Front doors -- 35%
Windshield -- 50%
I was in the same boat and numbers. Dealer did not want to give anything extra to lower the price, in other words "We sell trucks very well nowadays, inventory getting low, we sell it anyway". In my case I did not get extra $1500 since I chose 0% for 36 months.
Installed the same S-Type with black tips 5 days ago, I would say very good fitment compare to other sets. You just need to make sure light tight all clamps, adjust and tight them up really good, two people recommended.
Keep in mind, this is a muffler that hangs on rubber bushings, it's not...
On Monday received Borla S-type... Installation took 1.5hrs, love the sound but feel sorry for my good people neighbors though :) I hope they won't hate me!
Thanks guys for responses...
Little dilemma... I wanted to paint bumpers to match white truck color but friends keep telling me that would be more practical to leave it chrome. Will black tips look good on chrome bumper or get chrome tips?
Very tempting S-type!!! Anyone recently purchased? How long it takes to get it nowadays?
Also... Looks like same part # for 5'7" or 6'4" bed, right?
Looking for one on https://www.ss-exhaust.com, says no sales tax and free shipping...
On June 21st purchased 2020 1500 Longhorn 6'4" bed
$67K window sticker... after all rebates & discounts came out to $60K, I did not get extra $1500 because I chose 0% for 36 months financing option vs 3.2% 60 months.
HEMI non-eTorque
6'4" bed
Tow package

On June 21st pulled a trigger on 2020 RAM 1500 Longhorn after two months searching and trying to convince my brain to get expensive brand new car/truck first time in my life :) Plan to keep for 10 year minimum. Hope won't bring me issues, seems like pretty reliable with HEMI engines, I did not...
