Hmmm, that could be interesting. My dash looks like @Neurobit and I'd have to agree that 1, I dont notice it, and 2, I probably didn't notice it because I assumed it was by design. It doesn't bother me in the slightest, but if new trucks coming off the line really dont have it, and ours now...

Dont forget to raise up the air suspension for the SUV's if you got it! I call this ParkingLotDefenseMode(tm) and will encourage it's use until I'm 6 feet under lol I'm usually one to not fight for a parking spot and park in the back where it's open. But for parking structure spots or event...

Only thing I can think of would be are you keeping automatic high beam mode engaged? There should be two different distances from the steering wheel for that.

It sounds like you're already savvy to the answer, but like @edrclark said, if you wanted to post a picture of your window sticker...or a picture of your truck (think sticker on the back of your truck saying 4X4 Off Road lol) we could possibly offer more help.

Why do you say "sxm guardian" is not for this year/model? It's the app I use out of the ones I was prompted. It's as slow as all get out so I'm hoping you tell me the others are faster lol.
