FYI Running board hardware help!! You can read through the posts. I found a small wire wheel on my drill worked best to take the paint off the studs.

Had my engine replaced. In talking to the mechanic he believes it was the lifter that caused the valve to drop. This video explains MDS but at the beginning is a nice shot of the lifters, push rods and rocker to give an idea how they are interconnected to the valves.

I would add, "Don't buy any mods for a year".

Update: Engine light for the cyl 8 misfire came on with 102 miles and went off (reset?) at 145 miles on the new engine. Note: Light was off after attending 5 o'clock mass. Proof there is a God? Thanks to all for the advice.
