it's much better than 4th gen (I had a 2015 1500 5.7). I almost don't even notice it now, so I leave it alone. I did see in AlphaOBD a few settings that sure looked like it could be turned off but I am not going to experiment and find out lol.
Well this morning I finally got around to doing the install...and hey! It worked!!! I got it all right the first time :) This thread was very helpful, especially the pics showing the driver side harness because there are a couple in that area that are very similar. It took about 2 hours start...
Hi - posting here as well as in my thread I started in the 'interior' forum.
I am trying to enable ventilated seats - these were taken out of a 2020 Laramie, all wiring harnesses are connected. I have a 2020 BigHorn with the 8.4Uconnect - truck had dual heated seats before and the new seats...
Hey ok well I finally got around to trying to update to show the ventilated seat controls. I'm a little rusty, been a couple years since I used my AlphaOBD ... so I got my security bypass cable connected, have the ODB link working and paired. I went into AlphaOBD and got to the right "vehicle...
You are likely going to be stressed if you are brand new to towing, so just know it's pretty normal until you get a bit of miles under your belt. That's a big trailer behind you at almost 33' and your going to know its there. Price is tough to say because of just all the challenges we are all...
you can also pick up those clips at places like autozone. hard to imagine a new door panel is the answer. looks like you are on the right track and hope it works out for you!
if you can hear your drying towel across the surface, you need to clay it. obviously running your hand/fingers across specific spots is a great indicator but the towel never lies :)
Hi - I ordered this bypass cable off Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082PTBZ6K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
Do I unplug the current cables connected to the security gateway module and leave this new one plugged in all the time? Or do I only plug this in when I'm...
I haven't received them yet, they were ordered late last week. I think there are holes as well. If you beat me to it, please share what your install was like :)
Once again, Jimmy07 is the man... pulled carpet back and yes indeed multiple mounting holes already drilled, just all capped/covered. Jimmy07 is there anything you don't know about these trucks?
I hadn't pulled up the carpet yet. But sort of poking w/screwdriver in the area of the new bolt holes, hitting surface. Yes the seatbelt buckle does sit on top of the bracket. I'll take a look again tomorrow. Much appreciate you stopping by and posting, you are a virtual Ram encyclopedia (for...
The new seats have the rails & brackets. The issue is those brackets have a different orientation where they bolt into the floor. The front rail/mount lines up with the old ones, but the rears do not. On the recline seats, the bolt holes & brackets are inward facing - the old ones the brackets...
Quick update. Was able to identify the striker assembly needed for the rear recliner seats and ordered them. I have to take the liner off the cab wall to see what needs done to put the striker latch on, crossing fingers but not expecting it to be as simple as "bolt and go"... on the plus...
No changes are needed. They are plug and play. I have posted in other threads, Lasfit bulbs have been flawless for me and they have been outstanding service when I have had product questions.
Front seats are in and the new center console - all those were very simple and true "plug and play" - there's a victory for me there at least. The rear seats still scratching my head on how to solve. I can get the striker bars for the seat backs - that's pretty simple & cheap - but the seat...
Front is looking better yes - I took the passenger seat out and center console out - those seem very much plug and play. I would love to see how the rear seat swap was solved - any chance you have a link to something that shows how someone managed that install? Also the new rear seats have...
Well the seats arrived today ... and right away, this is clearly not plug and play stuff. I started with what I figured would be the easiest seat - the left side rear seat. My truck is a 2020 Big Horn Crew Cab .. the seats I purchased were from a 2020 Laramie 1500. So got the old seat out...
I think the keyfob issue is a bit over dramatized. I have the key fob in my pocket when I get in the truck (I have remote/push button start). I have since putting in the Lasfit bulbs, seen the "key fob not detected" a couple of times .. however, that is only ever shown AFTER starting my truck...
