Hey buddy, this thread is under Eco-Diesel motor of RAM .... So you actually put 0W20 in your Ecodiesel from PepBoys ??????
If thats the case I would be more worried about "Oil Cap" for your 3rd Gen EcoDiesel saying 0W20 - more than anything else.
I hope you know the motor/manual calls for...
All this will come back to haunt them - IF/When they deny people Warranty Claims - because if you cant provide oil filters or your recommended Engine Oil is very difficult to find, you cant fault consumer who paid for a truck with MSRP of $73000.
Nope - its annoying that it wont remember last selection. New gen RAM 1500 is amazing ride - but I feel in many aspects ED owners are in limbo- like other thread about people not finding Oil Filters as easily as hemi oil filter etc.
Hopefully the ED will see some love with updates specific to...
I thought thats what Rivian R1t is all about - although they are marketing it more as adventure vehicle ,rather than truck - but capability wise, I think it can hand truck jobs.
If I am not mistaken, Ford put in more than a billion dollar investment into Rivian - and *** I suspect*** the new...
NVM the link actually says RAM 1500 filter - interesting that the filter in OPs initial post has different part number than the part number in the other thread.
From the other thread,
https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/oil-change-information-help.18494/post-253017
Now the above post was in 3L Ram Ecodiesel forum/section - but the link takes to Jeep part. Since the motor is the same, I would imagine filters would be identical too.... But the...
My dealership salesman and even service manager said to change Fuel Filter every other oil change - which per factory mileage would be every 20000 miles.
I plan to change my oil sooner than 10000 intervals. However, the manual calls for first fuel filter change at 10000 miles - is everyone...
So on my 20 LH Ecodiesel - the UConnect has option to choose "Fuel Type" and then accordingly shows nearest gas stations and pricing.
Is there a way that my system can store Diesel as default fuel option ? Its PITA to have it changed everytime - one would think that once you choose the Diesel...
To each their own - When I ordered my truck, I did NOT choose the Rambox option. Even though I dont use bed for max loading, just looking at the beds with and without ramboxes - side by side, as I did at the dealer, its more than "marginal difference" at least to me.
Sure the lockable storage...
I have used 3/4 of the original factory filled DEF at about 2900 miles.
According to dealership Service Manager, the truck will use *Most* amount of DEF when idling. He obviously recommended Mopar DEF, but then proceeded to stay, Blue DEF at walmart would be fine - as long as its not an old...
I posted a question RE: following oil from Amazon brand. Several reviewers agreeing on the lines of "Distributed by Warren Distribution. They also distribute Mobil 1, STP, Super Tech, and many other quality brands of oil."
Not sure the quality of it - or if it meets MS-10902 standard - highly...
This article is by owner of dealership - its not Ram certified/back information. For example, the article states:
Confirmed specs on new 3rd Generation engine (2020 Model Year and beyond):
260 Horsepower (+20)
480 lb-ft of torque (+60) for Ram 1500 442 lb-ft in Wrangler
Stop/start technology...
Its actually very classy gold/champagne color (im sure you know as you have a LH too) - personally I would have wanted it all one color trim. If RAM went through production of all other trims, door openers, etc in gold - it could easily be expanded to 3 more knobs at least , (still leaving small...
Hot shots secret EDT from my research online seemed the best product. When I ran it in my truck the first time, I thought it was just psychological - but the truck actually returned better MPGs on the EVIC. I think it certainly makes it run smoother too.
Now first world problems - just dont...
People, I am not complaining or whining about it - as I said it was pointed out to me by someone - however, if I saw it before my purchase I would still order the same truck and I still enjoy it the best.
Just pointing this out for ongoing Quality and Improvement - if its cost effective ...
Fords usually have this tucked under front bumper - Its really inconvenient to open the hood to connect the block heater. Beyond me why this location....
If its behind front bumper - you exit the truck, connect the extension cord from socket to the truck and off you go. This popping the hood...
Respectfully disagree - mine was a custom order Longhorn with MSRP of just shy of $73K - it took them weeks to "gather parts for the build" - as someone above mentioned that LH is small percentage of the overall lineup, and if they can have LH specific doors trims, dash trim etc - its not hard...
I have had my loaded 20 longhorn Ecodiesel for less than a week - its an amazing vehicle overall.
One concern regarding interior -I selected Saddle/Black interior for my longhorn - pleasantly surprised that it has Gold Trim pieces on dash instead of plain steel/silver look. HOWEVER, here is...
I did the walk through - it was raining, and the rain drops made me miss couple of small blemishes on plastic trim above the bed walls - one of them is small but noticeable in drivers rearview mirror..... I dont know if mentioning it to the dealer would have an affect now. Picked it up last...
