I don't have access to any Windows computers. I only tried it with my MacBook and it wouldn't work to update. Anyway, I was told not to worry about updating by Diablo as it was a brand new unit. I don't even know if there is a new update available. In any case, the new unit has been...
You can purchase just the screen upgrade for around $4000. If I recall correctly. The whole center stack gets replaced and is easily removed by 2 small screws on the top. Search YT for videos on how to upgrade to the 12".
I wasn't able to connect using my Mac. It says that they only support Windows. When I talked to the Diablo rep he said that it doesn't need to be updated? So mine has not been updated, but since it is new I assume it has the current firmware/software.
I agree. It does take a little pressure to completely seat the unit. I am one week in with my new Pulsar unit and have had zero issues. I have only been running in the Performance MDS OFF mode. I've lost about 1 Mpg on average so far.
Installed my new Pulsar after sending the old one back. I drove a 2.5 hour roundtrip on the freeway (about 160 miles). I did some downtown driving as well (10 miles). It was raining moderately the entire time. I stayed in Performance Mode MDS OFF.
I had one anomaly that may actually be...
In the 12 inch screen I know you can just press and hold and slide it to the top. I guess maybe it doesn't work that way on the 8.4? A call to your service advisor may help.
Send and Go works great for me too. It takes several minutes to come over sometimes. I mostly find myself using Waze through CarPlay now. The integration is great, you can use SiRi voice commands, and the Waze app has a great database.
In all fairness, the Nav did find about 2 in 10 places I would search for in "offline" mode. But, no where near the capabilities of say Google Maps or even Apple Maps for that matter.
This is "normal". It has been a huge source of contention amongst owners and FCA. My dealership said it was designed to work that way. I could never get mine to say searching "online." haha. I ended up getting a ProClip and use CarPlay with Waze for directions now. Sure is a waste of a big...
There was a TSB for overspray paint on the negative ground connector on some trucks. Be sure to have your dealer check that it does not apply to your truck. Also, I cleaned the negative ground on my truck with a wire brush after having electrical issues. It has run fine ever since I did that...
There was a slight rub in Aero height at FULL turn, I came to notice. I hardly ever turn the wheel all the way to the stop.
Now, with the 1.5" front and 2" rear Bora spacers there is no rubbing at all in Aero mode, stop to stop.
I had this same exact issue 2 weeks after installing my Pulsar. Diablo Sport has sent me a new unit that I have yet to install.
I had a grounding issue prior to installing the first Pulsar that I actually fixed by "cleaning" the ground attachment point. The dealer said they could not find any...
