    2019 1500 : Concerning Cabin Sounds

I'm sorry I was a bit distracted and missed your reply. I have the factory sound system on a standard Big Horn Ram. VIN : 1C6SRFFT0KN513183 . This sound happens regardless of the sound system being on, off, muted, low volume, or high volume. It REALLY feels like bad or poorly programmed noise...

Should RAM ditch the knob shifter ?

Actually it’s more in the knob . It’s pulled out sometimes and turning the knob doesn’t always change gears properly. Sometimes one knob click doesn’t move gears and sometimes one click will move two positions. Truth be told it probably is just loose and needs tightened.

Should RAM ditch the knob shifter ?

So today I dropped the dogs off at daycare and couldn’t get out of Park. After a lot of fussing around for 30 minutes I was able to get it into D. So I brought it to the dealer, and bamboozled the service manager. But, they gave me a Durango to drive in the meantime. Now the question is : who in...

Should RAM ditch the knob shifter ?

Cool my knob pops out a little and doesn't always change gears now. What a great knob. Love the knob. "Service Shifter" on the driver HUD. 3k Miles on the Ram now, mostly highway.

Should RAM ditch the knob shifter ?

This is my first knob. I hate it. I know some people like it, and that's fine, I get it, but a month and a half into owning my ram, the knob still drives me nuts. Granted, after driving manual transmissions for 15ish years, my soul aches whenever there's only 2 pedals on the floor, but I grew...

    New Limited, I apologize

Thanks :) .. I didn't post much about my truck anywhere, short of the super disconcerting noise being made at almost infrequent random times coming from what sounds like the noise cancelling system. I haven't had time to drop it off at the dealer to take a look yet, so all I have is video /...

    New Limited, I apologize

Man my life took a slight turn and i'm really regretting getting a cheaper big horn without the adaptive cruise / lane assist now. (just had our first kid 3 months early, so she's 2 hours away in NICU) . I've already caught myself a couple of times 'zoning out' on the highway while driving...

    Apple carplay

Nope. To my knowledge Apple's new "Wireless Car Play" feature hasn't been adopted by many or any auto manufacturers, and is only available via 3rd party infotainment systems. I was hoping the Ram would support it, but alas.

    Apple Carplay Issues

To use "Apple Car Play", you need to be plugged in. If you're connected via BlueTooth, you get Audio, you can still invoke Siri by holding down the voice button on the steering wheel, and you get Navigation instructions (again, via Audio only. No maps on screens). The only thing your phone...

    Leasing!!!

I leased mine. My justification is "leasing isn't like it used to be decades ago" and buying out your lease winds up costing you a not very massive difference compared to just buying in the first place. My reasoning is that I came from Silverados, wanted to check out a Ram, and got into this...

    Apple Carplay Issues

I use my phone bluetooth most of the time. If i plug it in, press apps > carplay, then it uses that. if it gets unplugged I might have to hit media > bluetooth for music to start playing again, but it's not a big deal. Be sure you're using the charging cable that came with your phone, or a 3rd...

    2019 1500 : Concerning Cabin Sounds

It happens regardless of the radio being on or off. What's interesting is that 2 handed cart that caused the sounds in the video is pretty light. maybe 10lbs? But, it's a long metal object that like you mentioned, might effect some resonance or whatever. That said : 80 lbs of dogs back there...

    Hemi transmission

I've noticed this once or twice in the 3 weeks and change I've had my Ram. Conversely, my former '17 Silverado LTZ with their 8 speed did it ALL THE TIME. Before that, my '14 Silverado LT (6 speed) never did it. My vote is also transmission programming.

    2019 1500 : Concerning Cabin Sounds

Howdy all : So I've had my '19 1500 BigHorn for a few weeks now, and have recently noticed something odd and interesting. (I came from a '17 Silverado CrewCab LTZ Z71) I had put a 2 wheeled cart in the back of the crew cab which triggered some crazy pulsing / humming sounds. It sounds like...
