This is really useful information. Thanks for sharing. So with the few complaints here of low fluid levels in the drive components, do you think it unreasonable to request that these levels be checked on newly arriving ordered trucks? Trying to find a space that let's me have peace of mind...
This sounds beyond unacceptable. Brand new truck shows up low on rear-end fluid. Dealer filling after noticeable sounds. Even if (for other 22s with this issue) the fluid fill solves the issue immediately, what damage is gonna show up down the line just out of warranty period?
Another point...
No doubt. I'm with you. I was just offering my opinion towards possible drawbacks since that's what he was looking for.
Always the largest tank for me please.
Drawbacks--let me think...
1. Will technically lower your payload
2. If you are the type to drive to nearly empty before refueling, it can take longer to fill up
3. You will pay the additional cost for the upgrade
4. You will frown about 35% harder at the gas receipt.
...that's all I got for now.
Sometimes, chasing perfection can be a real dream-killer.
If your POC lists those RamBoxes and the truck was built without them, you might consider taking some recompense in addition to the price of the rambox option. This way, you can stay on schedule with your family plans and even have...

Why was I asking? Just...
Kindred spirits, we're planning to do something similar once my truck is delivered. We usually head west for the mountains and will again this time around. But we will also hit the upper Midwest including Sault Ste. Marie (always wanted to get up that way). Enjoy your new truck and the road trip.
Everything I read about real world MDS use seems to be about negative engine performance (rough going, vibrations, etc).
Any users here got any positive experience/ feedback? Looking for feedback from my interstate cruisers who use cruise control.
Does Laramie have ability to option up to the LED projector headlights? If so, get that option. If not and you plan on doing night driving, I'd go with the Limited.
