I just did my first Ram Chat session. All they could tell me was that parts are available and my build is scheduled. Asked if that meant D1 status, and she said they didn't use codes anymore. No ETA on start, completion, shipping or anything else...
Apples and oranges, but on the Laramie trim they changed the name of the Level A Equipment Group to Level 1. Price went from $1795 to $2120 but they added blind spot and cross path detection (XAN) and rear under seat compartment storage (CUE)....
Doesn't the eTorque system replace the starter, alternator and traditional 12 volt battery? Three components that traditionally have a fairly high failure rate. What issues has the system had since it came out? Is it buggy or has it had issues in the three years since it's been out?
I don’t want to come off as being rude, but I’ve never understood the “It’ll cost too much to fix if it breaks” argument. If that’s the metric in buying a truck, why not just get a stripped Tradesman? Those superchargers on the TRX are going to be a metric ton of cash to replace, as are all the...
Well to be fair, that’s what most dealers do.
It does make sense to me that it would save time, materials and labor to paint 100 red trucks, then reset and clean all the robots and paint 100 blue trucks. That said, I have no clue how robotic paint lines function at a manufacturing plant…
You'd have been mortified with my high school truck, a 1962 Ford unibody. The gas tank was behind the seat, you could hear it slosh around as you drove... :p
I've never owned a car with start/stop, but I have driven them and yeah, they do suck. Supposedly, the eTorque system is supposed to be almost invisible, time will tell. If not, I'll just make switching it off part of motion of moving the dial from Park to Drive...
While looking at signature lines here, I see a lot of people opt for the Hemi without eTorque. As it's a $0.00 option, why are folks opting out? Are there issues with it, or some other reason? I can't imagine why someone would give up better mileage and more power when it's basically free.
I have one, but it doesn't break down what is in each package. Apparently, there are two different formats. Next time I hit up my dealer I'll see if I can get the detailed version...
FWIW, on my 2022 Laramie order they changed the name of the Level A package to Level 1. Package price went up, but it lists BSM as being part of the package. Printout from my dealer...
Very nice, thank you Sir! So now I have to ask the Newbie question, what am I looking at here? What does the thin and thick blue lines indicate? And the shaded blue area? Should I expect my truck to be at the dealer in 3-4 weeks, or is that shipping time added to the build time? I know this is...
My dealer told me yesterday that they build them in color groups, so that makes a lot of sense. He also said anyone that wants the surround camera and automatic parking is going to be in for a very long wait. He indicated those chips are the really hard ones to source. Don't shoot the messenger...
While Hydro Blue doesn't show available for the 2022's on the Ram website, it is available when you build the truck on the dealers website. There are several other differences too. Level A is now called Level 1, costs more and adds content. Base price is up $650 and they deleted front and rear...
Okay Guys, new member here with a Ram Limited on order. I've been reading up on the orders, and thought I'd throw my $0.02 in. I ordered my Laramie on 11/30/21 and was told the wait would be between 12 weeks and 6 months. I have a decent truck in the garage now, so while kinda annoying, it...
