I would not compare it to other systems. I think the whole "connected car" ecosphere is in disarray. It is relatively a new technology and it needs more refinement and maybe some standards, also security is a big issue. I remember the update to my wifes 2014 Grand Cherokee so that hacker could...
I agree that the connected portion of the system sucks! I have not been able to use the remote services, start, lock, locate from my android or the website since I leased the truck in Oct 2018. After many calls to U/Sirius all i've received is frustration and aggravation. Dealer says nothing they...
Welcome to the club! I am tired of trying to get this resolved. Now that the weather is getting warmer its not such a pain. Hopefully it will be resolved before next winter.
I have the exact same software on my 8.4" and have had it for as long as I've owned the truck. I have never received an update as far as I can tell. My app/website never worked from day one. I hope that they put some serious (Sirius) resources into fixing this problem. I'll bet that in the JD...
Me too, but we don't even know for sure if TrackDay received a software update. Plus how are we supposed to receive this update if our trucks are not receiving the signals after being shut off for a 1/2 hour or more? This needs to be a TSB and probably installed at the dealer.
Tried mine this morning, no go. I am on vacation this week down in Florida. What a great ride down, the truck preformed well, averaged 19 mpg's. Very comfortable highway cruiser.
I sure hope the security gateway is the problem. If not we are back to square one. As far as FCA is concerned, it is not a safety issue therefore not high on their to-do list. They got our money and won't have to worry about losing a customer for another 5 to 7 year when we are ready to buy again.
I tried it during my lunch hour, it didn't light up and it didn't work. I tried it again and while it was cycling I touched the door handle, the dash lit up and about 10 seconds later it started up.
We need to try an experiment, stand outside your truck and try the app to remote start. Look in the window and watch to see if the instrument panel lights up with the push to start screen. If this happens I think it means the truck has received the signal . If it fails to start which we know it...
Thats some good positive news! Thanks for keeping us updated. I hope this turn out to be the problem. A quick look on the internet for SWG Module shows FCA started using this in 2018. I never knew about it.
