I bought it for function we will see, I take ALOT of rocks to the windshield; bought the truck on a Tuesday, the following Monday took a rock on the way to the airport. <500 miles first rock. I do think it looks good thou.
Installed it Friday after work, picked it up from the dealer where I purchased the vehicle. It took about an hour to install. I had to stop by pep boys and buy the plastic clip removal tool to remove 4 clips from the weather seal under the hood. I am not a fan of being able to see the screws...
My 1st year model thoughts;
Uconnect - not new tech just new model, had a 8.4 in my 2012 charger
Electric Steering / Lane assist - not new tech, had in my 2014 Cherokee
Blind spot, adaptive cruise, air suspension, auto high beams, rain sense wipers - not new had of these in my 2015 Grand...
I ran KO2’s on my ecodiesel Jeep GC overland, loved them, got lots of looks, but I also got lots of looks pumping diesel into it. I lost about 1mpg gained a little road noise but they we wearing like iron! It drove me nuts that I bought a 4wd diesel with off-road package and it came with crummy...
Sorry for your troubles.
Sounds like a dealer issue with the vin processing for sure.
I had 3 emails before I left the finance office at my dealer welcoming me to my new truck before I even drove off in it:
1- Confirmation of SiriusXM Guardian Activation (from SiriusXM)

Just the Louisiana legal limits, 40 front, 25 rear, not a fan of the 12% rear. Layer it on top of the factory tint so technically it was a little to dark but I’ve never had any trouble.
Daily driver, visit customers, park it outside, tow the boat, hunting trips, make the Home Depot trips. ~25k miles a year I fish pretty much any weekend the forecast cooperates 12 months out of the year. That’s why they call Louisiana sportsman’s paradise!
Thanks for the compliments. I highly recommend the “Jet Seal” from Chemical Guys even if you prefer another wax use it on the headlight and taillights and they won’t cloud up.
I would rate mine a 9/10, unless you’re the one detailing it you’ll never know the dust specks are there. Next year this time the paint matched front bumper will be full of rock chips, going to add the chrome hood reflector in hopes it will keep the rock chips in the windshield to a minimum. I...
Lol on the gas station wash job plan.
I did it all by hand no electric da buffer (someone borrowed mine and I haven’t gotten it back)
8-10 hours over two days, including a few breaks it’s 90+ degrees with high humidity here in Louisiana.
Followed the chemical guys chart:
After a rinse, foam bath, mitt wash with an extension pole and a blow dry from my Milwaukee Battery leaf blower;
Step 1 - Meguiar’s clay kit (I was out of clay, used 1/2 bar, the entire Meguiar’s bottle of quick detailer, 1/2 bottle of Chemical Guys Clay...
Just finished my initial wash > clay bar > polish > seal > wax.
Have not gotten to the tires yet, the above was a 2 day, 10 hour process.
Now my questions;
The Falken Off Road Package tires -
What does everyone use to remove the yellow and blue markings on them?
The lettering looks to have a...
Yep, and most of them had a boat behind it!
There’s a particular spot I go to that’s 4.5 hrs, usually 2.5 hrs each way to get to the marsh for Redfish and Speckled Trout.
