That’s really good with 3.92 gears. My evic was almost 1 mpg high. The mountains around here really hurt the mileage. I’m looking forward to when I head to Fl in the winter. My other rams always got better mileage down south where it is flat, even doing 75 - 80 on I95.
Took my QC Laramie thru Northern PA into NY state yesterday, about 260 miles round trip, about 70% interstate. Hand calculated 21.8 mpg. Truck has 1500 miles on it and has the Hemi, no E torque, 18" wheels and 3.21 rears. I'm very impressed so far, seem to be better mpg that my 2014 got early on.
They seem as durable as the clad wheels my last 2 Rams had, except you can remove these if you want to. I'm impressed as to the quality, but I have only had them on for a few months. Best part is the price, around $100.
Here is my Laramie quad cab in granite. The only thing I've added is the wheel skinz covers and extang hard cover. Notice my Challenger is in granite also.
I'm surprised to see anyone else that actually has a preference toward 18" tires besides me. My last 2 Rams had 20" wheels, when looking for a 2019 I specifically wanted 18" wheels for a change. I really like the nicer ride.
I added heated and cooled leather seats to my 2010 ram. They were basically plus and play, but after adding the switches, the indicator leds did not function. 2 dealers tried to get them to function but could not. One dealer called the ram tech assist and chrysler made them stop working on it...
The one I test drove had 3.55 gears. It accelerated from a stop just fine, but at highway speed I felt it always needed to downshift whenever I wanted to accelerate, even lightly. I decided to go with the Hemi again.
Just got my congratulations email stating my application was approved, and I will recieve the check in 8-10 weeks. Really appreciate this forum for passing this info on.
Beautiful truck! Is the power from the V6 really that bad on the highway? I test drove one but couldn't get it up over 65 in the traffic I was in, but I had a feeling it may be strained from 70 to 80 mph. Ultimately I chose the hemi because of this. Another poster mentioned that his V6 mpg...
They are very similar to the chrome clad wheels, except that you can remove the wheel skins alot easier if you need to replace one. I had chrome clad on my last 2 rams, total of about 8 years and had no issues with them. GM and other manufacturers are using chrome clad also.
Funny you brought this up, I just got my set in yesterday, Same wheels as yours. I am impressed by the fit and quality. They seem to hold fairly secure, no rattles or vibration so far.
I believe that it averages from the last time it was reset. Right after you reset, the average changes quickly. With time it takes longer to make any kind of change., because the averaging period is longer. Alot of GM products have a 50 pr 100 mile selectable average.
Our PA roads surely don't help this issue. I'm in NE PA, we have the rough roads and the potholes to contend with. I should have mentioned I have a quad cab, I see you have a crew cab, I'm wondering if the noise issue is different with the crew cabs? As I mentioned, The noise on mine is...
