    Tailgate Play?

Old thread, but I’m seeing the same problem on my 2020 with Rambox. My tailgate gap on the right side is variable each time I close it, but sometimes the gap is zero. My paint has worn off where the two touch. I couldn’t seem to get the rubber bumper off. Tried the screw and it just spun...

    Wheel Spacers

Has anyone used spacers with a 2” level and 35s on stock wheels? I have 2” wheel spacers on my leveled ORP, using 33” Duratracs on Rebel 18” wheels. Interested in bumping up to a 34 or 35” tire, and thinking the 2” wheel spacers may cause me some issues.

What did you do to your Ram today???

Would be interested in seeing those on a black Ram when you’re done!

New to Paint Correction - Questions

Everything is here, now just need the weather to cooperate and time on my side! I also have a stack of microfiber clothes, but not sure if I have enough or high enough quality for the job yet. Sounds like I’ll go through quite a few between wiping polish off and ceramic application. One thing...

New to Paint Correction - Questions

I started this process because the black truck is driving me a bit mad. 3 kids under 10, and I have hand prints or clothes rubbing against the side of the truck frequently. I’m hoping the ceramic pays off, either in keeping it from collecting dirt as quickly, or at least rinsing off easily. I’m...

New to Paint Correction - Questions

I’ll definitely be staying away from that. Lots of great tips in this thread. Appreciate everyone’s help and guidance! I think all of my equipment will be here by Tuesday. My polisher got put in someone else’s mailbox... so hoping that gets resolved tomorrow. Then, just need to find the...

    LED Headlight Wiring Diagram?

Hey guys, I wanted to share the lighting controller I’m using in case it’s of any value to this crew. I’ve installed a Garmin PowerSwitch to manage my outputs. The PowerSwitch connects to my phone via Bluetooth, and can be controlled by App or automatically via either of two control inputs. For...

New to Paint Correction - Questions

Great tip on the environmental controls. I’ll be choosing a day with moderate temperature now that Spring is in full swing here in KS, but that’s as much control as I’ll get. Great tip on the engine cooling, though. That’s definitely an aspect I can control. I can get my truck into my 3 stall...

New to Paint Correction - Questions

That all makes sense to me! My hope is when I’m done I can’t see 2’x2’ checkerboard across the truck where I’m moving between sections! I have a slight fear of that, but I’m sure it’ll all make sense when I get it going. Have all the right tools, and working towards gaining enough education...

New to Paint Correction - Questions

You guys are great. I have orange, yellow, and white griots pads inbound and will see what I learn. I need to find a vacant weekend to really get this kicked off. Looking forward to it!

New to Paint Correction - Questions

Thanks, I’ll do just that. More pads inbound! Any recommendations on polish type? 3D One seemed like a good option, but I may need some lighter cutters for the less aggressive pads. Also, my truck is black... which is the only reason I’m traveling down this road. I had my last truck (white...

New to Paint Correction - Questions

Seriously awesome advice from so many of you guys. Shouldn’t surprise me that you master detailers provide such detailed responses. I’m sure this thread will prove beneficial to many people. Heck, if I get to the end and really Jack it up, someone will benefit from my mistakes! I’m excited to...

New to Paint Correction - Questions

Love it, that’s probably some sound advice. Before I jumped in head first, I originally decided to try a bottle of the 303 Graphene which should last 6-12 months from my understanding. That said, boy that’s a lot of effort to get to the point of applying a sealant if I’ll have to go back...

New to Paint Correction - Questions

Appreciate that feedback and certainly appreciate it’s difficult to recommend pads without seeing the vehicle. My truck has never been in an automated car wash. Honestly, if I leveled off the minor swirling I’d be very satisfied with the results. Most important to me is being sure it’s well...

New to Paint Correction - Questions

I’ve decided to give DIY ceramic coating a try and have a list of items inbound to begin the process. Hoping to find a free weekend within the next few weeks to devote to the project. I have never buffed or polished a vehicle, so I have a few questions before I get started. Hopefully I can gain...

How has your ceramic coating held up

Thanks for the input, guys. Looks like that will increase my total spend to about $320 to get my feet wet. I’ll take the plunge and post some results to another thread when I’m done. Just need to find a weekend that offers 10hrs of free time...

How has your ceramic coating held up

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. I jumped in head first this weekend and researched this a ton. Decided if I’m going to do it, I’m going the DIY route. I have loaded up a cart at Auto Geek and ready to hit submit. I’m basically starting from scratch (pun intended). Feel free to correct my...
