So I’m also experiencing a leak. Mine is at the flange connection just ahead of the muffler.
Since there isn’t a gasket at this location, is the general consensus that these bolts simply need tightened? Mine is spitting moisture on startup, and it definitely sounds pretty rough.
It definitely...
Sorry for the many questions - hopefully this will help someone else out later.
I finally figured out the issue with the sensor showing tailgate open at all times after I enabled the sensor via JScan. I messed around with the latch manually opening and closing it, and realized the latch has to...
4-wires on the passenger side, which I think is correct for the tailgate ajar sensor.
Either I’m doing something wrong in JScan, or this sensor isn’t functional on my truck. Any other ideas?
Seems like JScan couldn’t properly enable this sensor for me. I’m going to pull the tailgate cover off to try get a look at my latches to see if they have the proper latch installed next. Even though it’s on my build sheet, I’m seeing some reports where proper equipment wasn’t installed...
Hmm… I’ll have to fiddle with this again tonight.
On my way to work, my tailgate ajar was illuminated even though the tailgate was shut. I had both module 1 and module 4 tailgate settings set to “Set”
I went into Control Module 4 and toggled the tailgate sensor to “Not Set” and that removed...
Well, I had to do this twice as the first time didn’t enable the setting for some reason, but the 2nd attempt worked. The F26 was not set, but is now!
So obviously I have some reading to do on JScan capabilities, but naturally I’m curious what can be done with this now that I have it...
My build sheet has it as an option, so I suppose it should have been active from the factory. I’m looking forward to trying the steps above to see if it’ll work… but I’m sort of expecting it’s a hardware issue with the sensor or wiring.
I’m sure Ram builds it this way to cut down on what would...
Update - I downloaded a license of JScan only to find out the feature was already Active on my truck. I verified by going back to my window sticker and I see it listed there as well.
Unfortunately, the lamp doesn’t show on my dashboard… or at least I can’t find it. I’m guessing it would be...
Awesome. Thanks guys. I downloaded JScan and entered the demo mode and looks like I found the setting. I’m on a roadtrip now but will give this a shot once I get a free moment.
Just to be sure, I need to have the Tazer DT and OBD2 installed concurrently in order to adjust these settings, correct?
Before I invest in alfaobd, I should check with the experts here…
I have a Tazer DT and also a BAFX OBD2 module. I think I’ve used the BAFX module once a few years ago and kinda forgot about it. With this combination, would I be able to enable the tailgate sensor?
If not, I’ll need to do some...
That would be a game changer! Thanks for that info.
Unfortunately, I don’t have either tool… I do have a Tazer but hadn’t seen that function before. I’ll do some research on the alpha

I have seen some mixed info on this and admit I never looked into it further. I have a 2020 Laramie which I purchased new. I’ve had a couple of times during my ownership where the tailgate unexpectedly dropped, and I am always looking back to verify if my tailgate is open. I’ve never had a...
Can you offer any clarity on what “invoice” price is relative to MSRP, for a RHO for example? I’m trying to assess what a total discount percentage might be.
Is it the FWP number on your picture above?
I’m sure I’m missing something as there just isn’t a lot of info out there right now.
Is the Ram RHO essentially a TRX with the new HO v6 instead of the hellcat? What are the major differences, if not? There’s literally a $26k price gap between the two in base configuration, which is a HUGE...
This is great. I have front vented seats and they’re absolutely a must have for me in any future truck purchase.
That said, I’m considering a RHO in the future without the Level 1 package, so I’m starting to explore costs to manually install vented seats in that case.
A couple of questions...
RHO is a huge hit for me, personally. While the hellcat would be tons of fun, I have to admit I in no way need for 700hp and 12mpg as my daily driver is a long-term suffered consequence. I always thought the TRX with a standard hemi would really turn my crank.
What I do appreciate and make use...
I don’t think I’m quite ready yet, but I’m curious… how does one go about obtaining a discount on an early pre-order? I got an email this week for 2025s, and if someone had interest in getting in line, can you do that and also obtain factory and dealer discounts at time of pick-up?
It seems...
