I've been through the Ram Cares process with an assigned case last summer. The dealer and Ram verified there was a problem after having my truck for a week+. Temperature sensor, a/c compressor, and refrigerant were all replaced with no discernible change. Due to the fact hot summer temperatures...
The issue is warm temperatures being produced from the vents and A/C system. Tint, clamps, and valves are nothing more than an aid for an underperforming system on $60k+ trucks. The fact that Ram has done nothing to address the validated issue is very concerning from a consumer standpoint.
On the way home from the dealer, stop By Harbor Freight and pick up the $8 hose clamp. Pinch the coolant line to the heater core with it, and you'll enjoy cool A/C. No one will ever know it's there and Ram can continue to ignore the problem.
Although I'm more disappointed with the week in was at the dealer for air conditioning performance and multiple parts that were replaced with no change, I had a similar one-time issue. After sitting in my garage for a week, the front air suspension lowered to entry/exit height, and the truck was...
Over the summer, my A/C would continuously run at full fan on its lowest setting, but the cabin never cooled below 66-68 degrees. RAM opened a case, and my dealer had it for a week where they confirmed there was a problem. They replaced a temp. sensor, A/C compressor, and replaced all...
I had a similar issue. After sitting in my garage for a week, the front air suspension lowered, and the truck was completely dead. Although it wouldn't jump start, after charging for 6 hours, it started but was in entry/exit height and wouldn't raise stating the "air suspension needed to cool...
Although I believe the colored bumpers look better, they will pick up stone chips. I suggest you pick up some touch up paint to keep them looking good.
I have had the software update completed, compressor replaced, freon re-filled, and temperature sensor replaced - all after the dealer and Star system verified a problem. Guess what? It still blows warm when hot and humid, but I won't be able to replicate it for further follow up until next...
After being in the shop since Friday, lo and behold, they can't pinpoint the issue. Although there were numerous codes related to voltage, they can find no suspension leak nor attribute the codes to anything specific and the truck has not lowered on its own.
That's not very reassuring and...
That's funny. My limited was completely dead last weekend after sitting for a week and wouldn't take a jump. After charging for 6 hours, it started up and has been normal since although it's going into the shop tomorrow to research the issue.
Not buying it. I closed the pano roof cover during the hot July temps, and the vents never pushed anything cooler than 68 degrees after 35 mins on the highway. In fact, immediately after driving home in 85 degree weather after the dealer had it over a week while confirming an a/c problem with...
Undoubtedly, the horrendous a/c performance in temps above 85 degrees. At the dealer for a week+ with no change, and now I'll need to wait until next June-July to be able to replicate the problem for them so Ram can re-open the case.
Oh, and the fact that is was completely dead after sitting...
Service app't. on Friday. With the 3 recalls as well as the week+ of a/c evaluation / parts replacement, this Ram has become well-known at this dealer in the past 13 months.
My issue was not related to any unsecured tailgate, etc. The only thing I noticed is the front suspension lowered well after the truck was parked. No compressor or any other electrical component was noticed that would drain the battery. Once I get a "confirmed" dealer response after service...
After my Limited with air suspension has been parked in the garage for about 1 1/2 weeks, I noticed the front seemed to be sitting lower and the tailgate wouldn't open even though it was unlocked. Upon trying to start it, the battery was completely dead, and it wouldn't turn over while...
As with mine and 64 degree vent temps on hot, humid days, both the dealer and Ram verified there was a problem, and after replacing freon, compressor, and temperature sensor, there is still an issue with warm vent temps. The follow up response was "take it back to the dealer for further...
