As a Ram truck owner for over 30 years, it is nice to see them getting recognized for there efforts. This truck is so far ahead from Ford and GM that I can’t believe people still buy so many. I was recently in a new Ford and couldn’t believe that the interior plastics reminded me of a 2007...
The correct oil was used. Unfortunately, Chrysler had no interest in getting to a root cause. The motor was never torn down. It seems like the tide changes when he showed up and took an oil sample to send out for independent analysis. We work in industry where it is common to do oil and...
It has taken over four months, but my friend finally has gotten his truck back. The eco diesels are on a back order, just like everything anymore. He’s happy to be driving it again. Said it feels like a Cadillac compared to the f-150 rental he has had. Hopefully engine number two lasts...
I have the nitro ridge grapplers. They have worn fantastic. I have 60k miles on them and they still have tread, although they are starting to loose a bit of traction at times. The road noise has also gotten almost intolerable though. I think any aggressive looking tire is going to get loud...
In America we are and always have been the most innovative country in the world. That has been a direct result of a capitalist society. Have a good idea that can change the world, you get rich. Ideas and innovations are answers to problems. Weather it’s harvesting crops, moving product or...
Sounds like you are getting there. I’m always surprised at how many parts they make small changes to even though the truck is identical. Definitely makes things trickier.
If they discounted you over a grand, you should be able to do the swap for close to that. There’s lots of reading to do here, but it’s all spelled out in this thread. I have a friend on here as well who makes a third strap. Not sure what page it’s on but if you skim through this you will see...
I’ve had mine for almost 40 months and 58k miles. Only issue has been a passenger side exhaust manifold stud replacement. Other than that? It’s never been to the dealer. Awesome truck.
It’s all in the thread. I am not sure what pages without going back but I listed all the parts I used to convert my Laramie 23 gallon to the 33. Hope that helps.
Been using 0w-20 on my own taster minivan for years. My 2010 and 2019 Ram are 5w-20. Not sure why they changed. Probably has to do with mileage even though it won’t make a difference.
Mines done it twice. I shot some wd-40 into the mechanism and works perfectly. I try to lubricate all hinges a few times a year. For whatever reason the tailgate sticks if not lubricated.
