This is the #1 reason I went with AMP, I wanted the lights. I also wanted to install myself, and the plug and play version of the AMP steps is pretty easy to do. The touch screen control would be ok, but I doubt I would have ever really used it, at least not enough to be worth the trade off...
Finished up my Amp steps, with LED strip lights. Also put on Husky rear wheel well liners.
The second pic quality is awful, but I included it to show how the lights look while “looking down” at the step.
Wasn’t sure where else to put this, so figured this was as good a place as any…
Installed my steps last week (minus the lights), and everything worked perfectly. This weekend, got around to working on the lights, I’m running LED strips instead of the supplied lights.. So, disconnected the...
Those of you who have replaced the in-dash speakers with tweeters, how have you tried aiming them, and with what kind of success? bouncing the sound off the windshield? Directly at each other (cross dash)? At some other angle (driver side at passenger headrest and vice versa)?
Since...
Anyone replaced the interior with the blue Diode Dynamics leds? I’ve done all mine except the dome light - they don’t have a direct replacement, the bulb they offer is this loop-style, not the festoon kind that fits. The lasfit blue isn’t the same color…. Wondering if anyone has found a good...
Installed my Amp Powersteps on Sunday (mostly, to be continued). Took longer than expected, mostly because of one nut on the dealer installed boards that refused to come off.
After all the reviews, the standard LED lights don’t seem ideal, so bought led strips Just ran out of time that night...
Quoting these to get some input here - Just had a 7" Maxtrac lift installed on my RWD 2021. I also have the 6'4" bed, and the 2-piece drive shaft. When I ordered the kit, there wasn't an option for the carrier bearing drop/spacer kit (so I had no idea it was even a thing). After the lift was...
If you want more than the Mopar 2” kit, Rough Country makes a 6”, Maxtech maxes a 4” and 7”, and Fabtech makes a 6” - all specifically for the 2WD. I researched whether a 4WD kit could go on a 2WD, and basically got a different answer from everyone I asked. The manufacturers said no. Most...
Looks like it fits all 2021 1500 models, except Rebel and air suspension equipped

Added sound deadening material to the doors on Friday. Now that was a royal PITA. Didnt do a very good job rolling it out, so when I lowered the front drivers side window, adhesive was sticking to it and leaving tracks, had to take that panel back off and stick it down better.
But…on a much...
Amp research boards deploy/retract when the doors open / close I’m not sure if there is any kind of mod to trigger them based on lock/unlock, but that might be complicated, as would You want them to deploy if you unlocked while the truck was in drive with doors closed?
At least one other...
The ones I am aware of - Maxtrac has a 4” lift kit for the RWD. Or, there is the 3.5” Readylift SST (thats a space lift with control arms, not a true lift). If you go up to 6”, Rough Country, Fabtech, and I think a couple others have kits.
The Maxtrac and Readylift 4” and 3.5 will fit those...
All - for either of these, OEM or Amp, do they drop far enough to be effective with a 7 inch lift? Obviously would be still better than no step at all, but enough that there isn’t anything better tailored to lifted trucks?
Thanks!
I have a 3” front, 1” rear level on my 21 Bighorn right now, and I love it. Ride quality is great (only diff from stock, because I also changed tires). Looks significantly different, lots of compliments. I did upgrade the control arms, to avoid potential long term issues, but about half the...
