Oh man. I just did my first car wash and this exact thing happened. One mirror flipped open and I pushed the button twice to get them both reset. I sure hope the system is not that fragile. I can’t quite figure out why they both didn’t flip open.
I am glad yours worked out for you. I truly wanted mine to. I also bought before 10/31 and was looking forward to the Yakima set as it seemed like a top notch product. It was a lot of time invested. I had to lean into mine to get it to move. I felt something was wrong so that is why I called...
I can assure you mine have never had these problems so there is an issue with yours. I don't believe it is by design.
One other crazy thought: do you have air suspension? I do not. I wonder if there is something tied into the truck raising and lowering.
Thanks. I really wanted to go into the Bed Cover store and try them out but that is hard to find. We actually do have a place with samples but they are mini versions (like 2 by 3) and they didn't have Retrax at all. There were a few other nitpicky things I didn't like about it but I figured that...
I bought and eventually returned a Retrax PRO XR. I hope you find the following info helpful.
Be aware that I ended up returning it after a week and replacing it with a Bakflip Mx4.
The cover was solidly built. Nothing cheap about it (both in materials in price). It was somewhat fiddly to set...
The two products are incompatible: period. I just attached some pics in another thread that I referenced. That may help with this explanation a bit.
The rails of the divider are large and long. The canister itself cannot be mounted in the same space. Assuming you wanted to chop the ends of the...
This thing has it's pros and cons. See my thread https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/the-saga-of-multiple-accessories-and-the-factory-rails.3776/post-54042 for the "review". I just figured I would post some pictures for anyone considering it. Note that at least at my large FCA dealership...
Knowledge of experience there. I kind of feel it would work OK without a bed cover. It also works fine if I raise the tailgate first and then put the cover down. But the other way around I am finding that I am getting a tailgate ajar light half the time. I also am realizing it is not as easy as...
Mine close shortly after people are in and close the doors. They tend to stay down longer if I am outside and don’t get in so I wonder if it is somehow tied to a sensor in the seat. If they do not go up automatically, did you try pressing the manual button twice? It’s in the controls screen.
The canister. The rails of the bed divider are huge. Way bigger than they should be. I don’t see how any canister would work with them. If the bed divider had truly been designed and sized for the Ram it would have been better. Instead it was adapted. But I will say that after using it on a...
It is an interesting piece of kit. Clearly not made by fca and doesn’t say Mopar anywhere on it. What they did was adapt a product by creating special rails that attach to the factory rails. It seems well made and is pretty easy to move and take off. There are a few issues. The divider...
Lot going on with this one. Tried a Retrax Pro XR and returned it. More on that later. It will work with factory rails but not at all with the Mopar bed divider. Got a Bakflip Mx4. Really like it. Clamps should just clear the Mopar bed divider rail but it appears the factory rails are not...
To anyone following this I found somewhat of a workaround with google maps. On the phone not plugged in start a route. Then swipe up and choose settings. You will see a guidance volume. While uconnect still has the volume minimum bug I described you can lower google maps output level. If you set...
CarPlay on my Uconnect doesn’t not seem to remember lowering the Mapping volume below 15. I tried both Apple maps and google maps. I have another brand car where this works. I know you have to change the volume only while it is speaking. Oddly it will remember if I raise the volume. But it will...
I turned it on in settings. I have less than 500 miles s it comes on a lot. I hated it in my SRT but it seems to work really well in the truck. Never noticed it but I do drive pretty mild.
