The difference between the jeep and the truck is not apples to apples. If the jeep was a Rubicon it’s possible he flipped the switch to lock the rear Differential. Take a look at your four-wheel-drive panel. Do you have a button that says E lock? Also on a boat ramp don’t be afraid to put it in...
Got mine from Amazon. I’ll receive it tomorrow. DEF cap and fuel cap was I think 12 or 15 bucks shipped for the pair. So it’s pretty inexpensive for a little extra protection
Good question. I know ZF made the axles for the last generation truck once FCA fully took over from Daimler and stopped making dodge trucks. 2013 was the first year for that axle and the Ram brand.
Whatcha got in mind?
Keeping the DEF tank topped off more often will help. Essentially it’s a maintenance free system. On my semi truck there’s actually a filter service for the DEF tank but our rams do not have that.
It’s funny you mention the Cap for the fuel system. Mine will be delivered tomorrow. You can get...
It’s gaining in popularity for the last couple years. Do a search on YouTube and you’ll see positive reviews everywhere. Lite Brite is a hugely popular YouTube channel. Britney and her husband Kevin run around off road EVERYWHERE and these tires are Championed there. Their jeep has changed a...
That wheel size and offset will work fine. If you are not planning on taking the truck off road and are more into looks highway driving Nitto G2 it’s going to be the lightest weight. Also make sure the wheels you buy are not superheavy, that will also have an effect on handling breaking...
MT’s in ice and snow Really are not ideal… deep snow is one thing but driving around on road you’re dealing with more ice or packed road surface not allowing the tires to scoop and without proper siping stopping distance is increased compared to other tires. Falken AT3W was AMAZING And served...
Should be fine. Still wouldn’t be a bad idea to throw a level kit on. I found this video last night with 295/60/20 which is about a quarter inch taller and wider than what you are looking at.
You’re right.... I was going off of tire size.com they’re usually pretty accurate but yes the manufacture website is the way to go.
Supposedly Toyo fixed the wet weather and ride issue with the new rubber compound of the AT3 versus the old AT2. I also was not a fan of the AT2
I did have a tow haul mode and I did use it when I was towing. All it does is change the programming for the transmission computer. It holds the gear longer and stays in a lower gear. It’s not beneficial for fuel economy. Technically if I was unloaded and had tow haul mode engaged it would hold...
LOL
The IDGAF guys are the ones FCA warranty department says IDGAF....
How do you contradict yourself by saying the engine is fine but we don’t know if it’s fine for 75,000 miles?
Rotella is an awesome oil and works great. It was confirmed that Rotella that causes oil coking in the turbo...
Another couple options for people are the Yokohama GeoLander G015 at just under 52 pounds and the new Toyo AT3 at 54 pounds. This is starting to get a little heavy but the Mickey Thompson ATZP3 is 58 pounds. Those three are LT tires
5160 is what I want to run this time around. It’s range is 0 to 1.5 inches. 5100s have a range of 0 to 1 inch. So on my last set up the springs only raised the rear 1 inch not the advertised 1.5 icon claims. Is it possible I messed up by having those shocks paired with those springs restricting...
I worked as a service advisor at a ram dealership and enjoy my truck very much. All my previous coworkers couldn’t believe I bought an eco-diesel. Even the technicians thought I was insane since the last version had so many problems. I have good faith that the issues have been addressed. This...
I loved them and the more I think about it the more my mind is made up to stick with 5100s front 5160s rear and icon rear springs with icon upper control arms. I have the ORP.
I’ll still spent $2000 either way. 5100s in the front 5160s in the rear with icon rear springs and icon UCA’s. Even with the Mopar lift I’m still doing the icon rear springs at a minimum.
