Bronco,
You say, "I work from home and rarely drive so at most I'll probably get 2 oil changes a year and that'd be because of the "6 month rule". " I've never heard of a 6 month rule. All my Ram trucks' rules have been xxxxx miles or 12 months. I'm a very low mileage owner so do changes...
Not quite true. I have two different types of bypass cables for my HD. A Koadtech bypass for when I use my MX+ and Alfa. And Calibrated's bypass when I use my EzLynk. Their only commonality is they both connect to the CAN terminal block.
Sorry, my PC kept connecting to his link, not yours. I see yours now and I am familiar with that type. I prefer the Kaodtech type (the type the OP ordered).
Looks to me like that is the one he bought. It should work, never heard of a bypass shutting everything down, I must be defective. I believe the best one to get is Kaodtech
Never hears of an Oil Udder, neat device. Do you think it could it also be used to change the Eco's rear fuel filter? That would be slick, much better than a baggie.
Food for thought:
A forum member, I forget what forum, called Motori to discuss the Eco and oils.
Motori told him to stop using USA oils and to use any Synthetic European oil, 5W-40, meeting MS-12991.
I should have saved what Motori said about the benefits to the Eco when using European oil, it...
You can buy a one-piece rod, like what tire shops use. Or like a friend did, he cut the socket off of his three-piece and welded it onto a piece of r-bar
I had a list of potential discounters that I collected from various forum posts. Called or emailed them and over time boiled it down to six, last month I boiled the six to the above four. Could easily boil it down to the top three. If you only want to make one phone call, call Tom Winkles...
If you are keeping the truck get a Mopar extended warranty. All four of these discounters will beat Ziegler. In order of my best price quotes.
1 - Tom Winkels, Hayes Jeep, 269-385-1116,
2 - Victor Riedman, Mopar MaxCare, 765-222-1356,
3 - Joe Topor, Chrysler Warrantys, 888-918-9840,
4 - Jason...
Well, I can't say "has never happened while driving" anymore. Today I backed out of my driveway, shifted to drive, and was on my way for a 15 mile drive to my destination. After about 2 miles that "Shift to Park" message appeared. I was able to retire it by hitting the down arrow on the...
I've had that show up a few times. It's usually in the first minute or so when I'm first starting to drive, has never happened while driving. I usually stop, change to neutral, park and back to drive or some similar routine. I think the computer screws up, an anomaly, and sends out the wrong...
Interesting. Is it because the OBDLinkLX would not pair with the Smart Watch paired and connected or was it paired and Alfa wouldn't connect? I ask because today when I did the above I wasn't wearing my smartwatch. Maybe it worked because there was no smartwatch and not for what I did.
I was still having problems getting Alfa to connect. It kept saying there was no blue tooth, etc. So I went into my phone settings/apps/ alfaobd and cleared the cache and the data. Then had to reload alpha like it was a new app. Bingo, no hesitation connecting.
