Can you tell me how many bolts it uses to attach to the truck? I see 1 of the negative post but I was curious. I have another product now but it’s a tight fit and only mounts with 1 bolt. It’s also plastic. Hope this is better.
Has nothing to do with child locks. If you are a rear passenger and you want out the driver has to manually unlock the doors for you. All other cars in existence today simply allow you to pull the handle which unlocks the door and you may exit. It’s annoying bc I am not a professional limo...
I want the engineer who thought it up to spend 10 mins alone in a room with my kids. Idiot! Surely you can swap a front door module with a rear one and allow it to unlock? There must be a way!
It’s posted earlier on this thread. Basically you need to turn on/enable the cargo light items. Alfa instructions mention the same menu items. I think it’s 3 things you enable. G16, A5, F6 from memory but I would search to be sure.
No I added them via the thread here and actually returned the mopar kit. The mopar harness is overly complicated and expensive. The solution posted here is much easier and factory OEM if you had the LEDs when you bought the truck. I’ll post the thread in a sec.
I marked the nipple location with a red arrow. You can DL the mopar led kit instructions and they also have a graphic. It’s not easy to see but if you feel around you can find it pretty easy. I also marked the cubby where I drilled the hole for my remote cable.
Installed my auxbeam switch today. I routed the remote wire through the firewall via the mopar instructions for the cargo bed led kit. This is different than others have done via YouTube and much easier. There is a small rubber nipple in the firewall you simply need to cut the tip open slightly...
So here is where I am. I ended up adding the factory LEDs via the mopar bed light thread on here. I found a nice spot to the left of the drivers side led that I can mount my 12v panel to. By removing the taillight I have access to the back of the panel. I bought a Bosch hole saw that I can...
So before I go undoing bolts in my center console what’s everyone’s wiring route through the firewall to their switch? I bought a 3D printed mount for my 600 switch and will likely follow waterfowler41’s install with 1 change. I want to drill a small hole in the back wall of the small cubby...
Ok just did my install. Took maybe 20 mins. Hardest part was removing old harness and figuring out how to unclip the old connectors. I did not remove my spare. It’s easy enough to reach around it. A trim removal pry tool helps a great deal. I also did not unplug the battery. I got anxious and...
Also was able to compare the OEM LEDs and a new brighter set I bought off EBay. HUGE difference in brightness between the upgraded LEDs from eBay and the OEM units. If you’re making the install I suggest going ahead and getting the brighter LEDs. You will need to remove the stock on/off switch...
my Mopar kit came in just now. It’s a single harness with plugs for the lights, a ground terminal, and 2 exposed pins. It’s not the same as the LEDs mentioned in this thread. The lights do not have the short dongle to attach to the harness. So for those who are thinking of ordering don’t make...
So after buying the Mopar kit I decided to go this route instead. My Mopar kit however is still enroute. Does anyone know if the Mopar kit LEDs have the short connector attached to fish them down into the bed and connect to the longer wire? The pics of the kit look like it’s a single harness...
So on the mopar kit the 2 pin wires are positive? I want to install the factory LEDs but I want to operate them via my aux beam switch. What confuses me is the pictures of the harness doesn’t match the description which includes a negative ground terminal near the rear wheel well.
