I don't need to haul a rocket. Camping gear, Kids and and a Roof Top Tent is fine. Plus mine is parked in the garage right now - and not on a drawing board. But the Rivian looks neat.
Seems like a simple fix. If you read the whole notice instead of the headline, there were no accidents as a result of this recall. The positive thing here is its a proactive recall vs a reactive people-crashed-or-died-because-of-something recall. More manufacturers are going to be doing...
Is this as easy as it sounds.? Unscrew a few bolts and swap bulbs? Did u have to disconnect the battery neg before disconnecting anything? Does the whole unit just slide out?
Well there’s only one way to test your theory. Climb in bed of truck. Put your fingers where the seal is in the picture. Then have a friend firmly slam the tailgate shut. If you scream in pain-the seal will touch the tailgate. If you don’t, then you are correct. All joking aside. I don’t...
I can take a pick but my truck is dark grey and the seal is dark too, so its really hard to see. Its literally a vertical strip on each side and one long one across the very bottom of the bed. You don't put it on the tailgate. The RAM has these light grey bumpers on each vertical side so I...
I put in Truxedo Tailgate Seal. No leaks now. Holding up fine. Took less than 10 minutes to "install". If you go down this route, make sure you have a rag and some rubbing alcohol. The tiny one alcohol wipe they supply is not enough. and you need a pair of scissors. Ive got a...
I agree. Though I bet an aftermarket camera and harness would be much less. Adding one to a Jeep JL from Tazer is 179 bucks. It’s diy. Seems as though hardest part is getting behind the radio and plugging wires in. Tazer install instructions pretty straight forward. Their kit only works on...
I remember reading the Tazer DT instructions and I don't think it was actually a plug that went into the back of the unconnect. I think i was two wires off the camera's wire harness that you inserted into something like a terminal block. This was last summer when I read it.
Wonder why this is so hard on Ram? I used to own new Wrangler JL with a Unconnect system. And was a member of the JL forum. Bunch of guys figured how to mount a decent but cheap front cam, then run the wires to behind the dash and hook into the Unconnect system. Then they just used a Tazer...
Ive got a Rebel which has the black plastic flares, so not painted. Also have GoRhino raptor steps which prevents a lot of sand, salt and mud spray that arches up the sides. I'm sure Im going to rattle can the mounts on those steps. Going to have the rocker panels LineX'd up to that...
funny you should mention that. I don't swear in front of my kids, ever...well...only once. when that body bolt broke I let slip a "MFR" My son looked at me and then the broken bolt and just gave a small nod tp say yup.
I'd like to LineX this part highlighted in red. In order to save time, money and avoid leaving the Truck at LineX for 48hrs, I like to be able to take this off myself and just drop off the part. Has anyone taken this off yet? If yes, how hard, did you have to remove the whole bumper first or...
Gotta love the 4WD push button! Dropped my son off at Soccer and went to back into a parking spot and I felt the rear end drop. The last 18 inches of the of blacktop crumbled like a muffin, the rear dropped about a foot and the truck sunk deep into the "greasy" mud behind the black top. The...
its the best. my 12 yr old son helped me install a bunch of things on my jeep. And he was there with me when I broke a body bolt. (not good!!!). He said he wanted to keep the broken bolt. I asked why. He thought it was cool and that some day he didn't want to make the same mistake.
