Ordered in May '18 and delivered in Sept due to two "late availability" items: eTorque and RamBox. Absolutely love the truck still but it's had its share of work mostly due to new model year. I think this is the full list. Just over 33K miles on it after 3+ years (most of my miles went on the...
Went to flash the new firmware and found power cycling in my front USB ports every ~4 seconds. Removed AAWireless and same thing over a cable to my phone. Well shoot. Looks like my media hub went out right out of warranty.
Bought one on Ebay for $55 (cheaper than deductible). Removing the...
One of the key reasons I got a Ram and would definitely buy them again.
Slight warping on one side but after adjusting myself they look fine and open/close easily. I keep the passenger side almost full (like a trunk) with go bag, hitch, tow straps, etc. The driver's side is normally empty and I...
I rarely, but occasionally, get the no phone paired message on start but just ignore it and after ~5 seconds UConnect "remembers" the pairing and all is well. Maybe try waiting on it?
I suspect it's a lot more involved since they do not pull from the tailgate cam but instead use a camera mounted in the third brake light. You'd need at least the mirror, brake light assembly with camera, new wiring harness and who knows what else.
Three things are guaranteed in life: death, taxes, and painted bumpers will chip. There is no way around it. I had <50 miles on my truck before I had PPF (paint protection film) installed on the whole front end and first 18" of the hood. Not a chip since. I consider PPF part of the cost of going...
I love the 12" but just recently had it replaced under warranty. The GPS and built-in cell had no connectivity and the SA told me that Ram has had some issues with Panasonic in this area. I've got a very late HW rev now so hopefully I'm all set. Other than that, it's been amazing.
I've also got...
For the radio, my dealer completely relied on Uconnect to diagnose and tell them the radio needed replacing. IF you go back in this thread and read my posts you'll see how they ran diags at the dealer and found no issue. Uconnect had me on the phone for 3 minutes and said "you need a new radio."...
It's also dependent on if you've got your key in range and how long they've been open/on. The computer will turn them off after your preset just like the bed and interior lights.
If my truck is unlocked in the garage and I open one without the key on me the lights do not come on.
On screen buttons as opposed to the physical buttons surrounding the 12". It doesn't matter what you have set as the two outer screen "buttons" (icons), you just tap and hold them until the dealer menu appears.
And just to tie this off, they replaced my N0GL radio with an NFFX. I can't tell a single difference other than it works. Maybe Panasonic toughened up the GPS bits? That's what I going to tell myself as I fall asleep tonight.
Just got back from the dealer and everything works again. They replaced the radio so I went from a N0GL to an NFFX hardware version. No noticeable differences other than the GPS works as advertised again.
Yes! Pop the hood and find the condensate drain. It's on the passenger side of the firewall and it is a black plastic barb sticking out horizontally with a slight bevel to the end. If you can't find it, leave the truck running and you'll see water dripping out.
If it is perfectly clean and new...
