Dude, respect to you for putting it out there like that. You tow 3 times a week, so this post wasn’t about you. I can see why, if you are towing that much, that you wouldn’t put them up and down all the time. Fair. Lazy, but fair.
I will jump into one thing you said though, better visibility...
Take a pic looking at your dash from the drivers seat and then circle the approximate location of the plug. Then someone with your exact truck can look under and confirm if they also see this wire free floating or if they see it in the harness in question.
2-3 posts about the actual event. 5 pages of bickering. Sounds about right.
My personal opinion. Judging based solely on those photos, I don’t want to keep that truck. I would take the dealership on their offer of a new truck but would start with:
1. The new truck at their invoice/cost. I...
And, if you want to test this first just unplug the white connector going into your amp under the driver seat. That will also disable your radio sound but will let you really hear it before spending the $12 or so on a cable.
Just in case you have the H/K system, I haven’t been able to find a harness that works with it. So I manually removed the wires from the plug under the seat.
Lastly, I don’t think you will like the sound that MDS makes with the Carven now that you will be able to hear it.
Whoa now. It is not quiet. It’s your ANC system working. I know because I installed it and thought to myself “whoa, this is quiet”. The same day I unhooked the mics for my ANC system (thumping problem) and all of a sudden “whoa, this is not quiet”.
Beware of the Carven. Massive drone if you don’t run ANC. Especially when MDS kicks in.
Most one cut muffler replacements leave enough tube for a shop to weld back the original muffler. I wouldn’t hesitate to do a one cut muffler replacement on. A leased vehicle.
I love that bluish interior. Wish I had that on my limited. I’m also excited that everything is working for you as well. Seems like Ram is finally figuring out how to ship 100% working vehicles.
I just installed a Carven muffler delete for a 22 Ram 1500 with Hemi eTorque. When I initially installed it was very quiet, surprisingly so. Took a drive around the neighborhood, quiet. Well a few hours later I decided to disconnect my ANC mics due to the ANC thump I have and having to wait a...
Actually, the new Hemi eTorque isn’t really getting good reviews on its MPGs. Some great hood, some are in the 12s. Lot are right about 15. Living in a flat area like you do I would imagine you would be on the higher end.
My vote:
Rebel
4x4 - for the trails
Ecodiesel - for the low end torque and city MPGs
Off Road package - for the skip plate protection and e-licker
Level 2 - for the 12” uconnect
and then it will also be easy to sell down the road.
I can’t figure this out for the life of me. I have a 22 1500 Limited with the Digital Rear View mirror and the trailer tow group.
I have read that there is a camera that can be added that will be an aux display on the digital rear view mirror.
Has anyone added this or have it currently...
