Looks like some kind of fluid got onto the axle housing can caused a reaction with the paint to me. Maybe brake fluid. You can see shiny parts in the second pic rather well. Looks like it still might be wet. The patterns also look fluid like. I doubt the shipper would hook up to these parts...

About a day later I got the update. There is also a process to manually update via usb. I would give that a try. I believe there are instructions on here or the Ram owners site.

You need to connect it to your house WiFi. Shortly after I did that I was pushed an update.

Apple Maps is my go to. Not sure how to answer your question. I have been using CarPlay for a while and I don’t remember the major updates.

You have to switch profiles to get it back. Unfortunately it will leave the screen again after about half a day. But just switch profiles and then switch back and the quick access will be there. This is a know issue that Ram is working on.

CarPlay should be sending your texts from the phone to the CarPlay system. They won’t show up anywhere but in CarPlay but they should be there. It’s an apple function. Has nothing to do with Uconnect.

I would suggest doing a factory reset on your Uconnect. It might solve the problem.

I would suggest looking into using your phone for navigation. Google Maps, Waze and Apple Maps are way better than the stock TomTom.

So weird. Every time I drive by this one spot in my city my CarPlay disconnects and then about 10 seconds later it reconnects. Never fails. I don’t experience disconnections anywhere else. Anyone heard of this before?
