My truck has driven so well that I did not give much thought to alignment. The Goodyear Eagle Tourings have been very quiet on the road and quite stable.
I noticed yesterday that the front outer edges of the front tires are very worn, indicating to me that they've probably been set to wrong...
Is there any reason why a dealer would be any better choice to check the alignment on my truck than an independent shop?
The front tires on my 22" limited are both quite worn on the outside (toe out?) when the spec above calls for toe-in.
You are right, it takes longer to fish the T45 out of the toolbox than it takes to make the adjustment.
Thanks for posting this. The tailgate is a no-slam event now.
Exactly why I didn't go for black in Tx, it would be an oven back there. The ivory tricolor match barely gets warm to the touch.
I'd never have a black vehicle, or cover here.
I love mine. I really wanted a hard aluminum lockable paint matched cover that I could completely remove in a half a minute by myself, and folded up to nothing when needed. Nothing else but the Peragon one fit those higher requirements. Even paint matched it came in about half the time Peragon...
Given that complex video above, a hack re-integrating an electronic heater control valve is probably the only feasible all-season aftermarket solution. Beyond my skill set on how to program it, but much simpler than pulling apart the dual zone HVAC box.
Yay! Real data from one of those thermo-meter dohickeys! :)
43-44F is the best I have seen from the center vents when its around 90F+ outside as well - and that is with the heater core clamped off at the pump.
I have a couple of other cars in the driveway to test and they'll consistently...
I've never heard of anyone actually having this done. Most folks that it the build range come back with "Dealer said it didn't apply". There may be some rare exceptions, but that's the common result here.
1. 40-45F
2. Maybe. I don't really know. Its not smashed down that tight. I really am not that concerned as I don't really think it matters. As long as its cool :)
Went to Harbor Freight and bought their fluid line clamp set with the ubiquitous 20% off coupon and installed it in literally 30 seconds. Six bucks. Even with residual 200F coolant in the heater core it brought the right vent temp down. I saw as low as 40F during a 20 minute drive. Low 90s...
Yeah, I could not get them to remove the tracker either or take that "package" of junk off, like the below example, even thought they got to my target price they still netted it out charging a few hundred dollars.
The dealership tracker was easy to remove.
Interesting that this dealership is part of the Keating Auto Group, as was my dealership doing the same exact thing in the same exact way. They apparently own Apex also.
Your experience seems to be similar to others elsewhere leaving Keating dealership reviews.
I also noticed this just yesterday on start-up. I thought it might be the seat vent fan or seat motor, but it wasn't. Maybe sounds like a little pump pressurizing something. Is the seat lumbar support a pneumatic thing? You have to have the cabin pretty quiet to notice this among the other...
