Well, I’ve had this truck for 3 weeks now and I’ve already put 2,000 miles on it. What can I say I love this truck lol.
Here’s an update of all I’ve done so far in 3 weeks.
First thing I did was I went to install the Bilstein B8 5100 rear shocks. As me and a friend were looking at the back of...
I fixed the issue. The problem was the RDLs for the OEM LED headlights receive 6 volts. So the grille lights were getting the same when they need 12v. So I just ran the wire for the grille lights straight to the fuse for the headlights. I kind o like that better because now the grille lights...
These amber lights haven’t been bright at all. Even when I turn the headlights off. Maybe I need a relay? Although it doesn’t say that in any instructions/how to videos
I cut the DRL wire and T’d it in directly through that wire. I grounded it up where the rest of the wires are grounded.
The DRLs on my head lights are still shinning as bright as usual so I don’t think it would be a bad wire connection. But I don’t know much so I could totally be wrong.
Just wondering if anyone else has used this grille before. Redrock rebel style grille with amber DRLs. After install everything looks good and runs ok except that the DRLs on the grille are very dim. I’ve seen pictures of others who have installed this grille on AmericanTrucks.com where I...
Can you upload pics of your truck. I’d like to see how yours sits at 3 inches because that’s prob about where mine will sit with the Bilstein 5100s right?
I’m wondering if I should have gone for a different kit. I kind of want more than 3 inches of total lift lol. Do you know of any decent kits that could lift me an additional 3 inches without pucks?
I ordered that kit and also ordered UCAs for up to 4 inches of lift. Is this kit going to add 2 more inches giving me a total lift of 3 inches with the ORP?
I was wondering if you know of a way to get another half or whole inch of lift with this setup that would be safe to do? I know you said...
Are there any ways to get shells and tires a little cheaper? I’ve never bought any aftermarket wheels before so I’m not sure if there are things I’m unaware of. Besides Craigslist of course haha.
With that kit you sent me do I need to add the springs or anything that is extra? I’m assuming I need UCAs but can I order cheaper ones from somewhere else?
Yea I think I’m going with the s type. Touring sounds like it’s not enough of an upgrade for spending all that money. I appreciate the feedback guys thank you for your help
I’m new to the forum so I’m sorry if this topic has been covered. This will be my first lift on any truck I’ve owned. I have a 2021 BTS big 1500. From what I’ve read, it has a 1” lift from factory. So if I install a 3.5” ready lift kit will I get 3.5 inches of lift in addition to the factory 1...
