I will send pics but went a little diff route.
This bracket just mounted to the t bolts that held the plastic lower grill piece in. However, the light was just too heavy for the design (gauge of metal and how it mounted). So made another bracket with heavier aluminum that will mount to the...
Thanks, Kapin, that is the plan at this point...already changed the design and the material. Going the route of 1/4” aluminum and then steel if that doesn’t work.
Thanks, JP. I want to avoid hood mounts as there is just too much reflection, especially on a silver truck, and shadow. I want mount low without a brush guard or bull bar. I bought a pair of Baja Design LP4s and and working on brackets for the front. Here are a few trials I did with some light...
I have spent soooo many hours on Bob the Oil Guys site reading through threads and oil. Worth it if you have not and are int in oil. Realized that it’s more about just using a pretty good oil and actually changing it. So many miss that last part. I ended up using Schaeffer’s 5w-20 synth with...
I wouldn’t stress about the diff in height honestly. There are going to be discrepancies, even from the factory you will suspension to be off a bit...unless it’s from Italy or Germany . As long as the stance looks good to you, it will be hard to see the diff, and there is no binding, knocking...
There are no spacers in the front. Are you referring to the upper bumper of the strut (step 19)? Just did the lift this weekend and the front is straight forward. All existing hardware minus the strut, few bolts and UCA. How off are you? Maybe measure center of axle to lower fender vs the ground.
I just installed my Mopar lift today and am super happy with it. I do use my truck for off-road Use too, which is why I went this route. Let me tell you...the fox shocks are a night and diff from the OEM ones as well. I am going to run 285/65r20 on mine but did order after market wheels with a 0...
Put the lift on today! Fox shocks are night and day diff. Helps to have a buddy with a shop. Took a little over two hours for us to get all four corners done. Will measure tomorrow to see where I sit. Needs an alignment still. New wheels and tires ordered too!
Put the Mopar lift on today! Fox shocks are night and day diff from the OEM shocks. Was not too bad of an install but helps to have a buddy who is the lead mech at shop and tells you just bring it in after work and we can knock it out in the shop on a lift ;) New wheels and tires are on order...
Just pulled the trigger on a set of new wheels and tires. Going to sell my OEM set...Laramie Sport Wheels with Falken AT3We tires (275/55r20) with TPMS sensors and about 5k miles on them. No dings or scratches on the wheels. What is the best way to sell these things?
Just sold mine a few months ago with 186k on it. Bought her new in 03 (5.7 2500 4x4) and was a wonderful truck. Took these the day I cheated on her and brought the new gal home.
Holy messy oil change Batman! LOL. All over the front sway bar, electronic module, etc... Did the bag trick on the filter but good grief...has to be a better way. Open to any suggestions to a cleaner process (going to funnel out of the oil pan for starters so more on the oil filter).
Well...super bummed that this was not the right product for us OEM bumper guys. The piece itself super high quality and is 1/8” powder coated steel. It is def for their after market bumper and even states that on the cover of the instructions. Can I make it work...eeeeeeehhhh...still TBD but...
