My roof vibrates bad when a car pulls up next to me with subs playing heavy bass music. That's really my only complaint about these 5th gens. Must be the lighter steel they use or something. I turned my bass down to -4 on my radio.
Why on earth would u ever need to drive 103 mph ? These trucks should top out at 80 mph imo. There is no reason to risk other people's lives on the road even if u don't value your own life !!
You definitely need a 2500. That's a big trailer your pulling. I can't believe u drive 75 mph pulling a 24 ft trailer !! I never go over 65 mph pulling my little 6x12 enclosed single axle trailer. If it's windy I stay under 55 mph !! Rather be safe than locked up in prison for killing someone on...
I just googled CC vs. Quad. We are talking about a measly 9 inch difference in bed length. But the difference inside the cab is huge. An adult can't even sit in a quad cab without spreading their legs wide open. As far as Diesel vs. HEMI I don't know why anyone would buy a diesel? It is slower...
The main thing I wish I had was the keyless entry. Otherwise the BH suits me just fine. Quad cab is pretty much worthless. Even without kids a CC is nice to put stuff back there that u don't want outside in your bed. The 5.7 inch bed holds everything just fine. Your talking less than a foot...
Let me guess, your in the concrete business? Those are the only guys who drive 1 tons. I side houses. The 1/2 ton does me just fine. Had a 3/4 ton Chevy when I used to pull dump trailers. Traded it when I started pulling a 6x12 enclosed & realized i didn't need that much truck any longer.
Because stores barely make parking spots big enough for trucks with the short bed as it is. It would suck parking a long bed. I've been in construction 20 yrs. My short bed CC suits me just fine. I have a bed extender & a 12 ft enclosed trailer with a ladder rack when needed. My short bed fits...
Not too happy to hear these 5th gen still have the exhaust leakage problem with the broken bolts. I got rid of my 2013 Ram because of that. Drove it for 2 years with a cold start up tick. I wasn't sure if it was broken bolts or lifters. Didn't want to deal with it either way. I had 73,000 on it...
I've had a lot of issues with this at different gas stations. At Costco I have to hold the handle the whole time at a certain angle. Other gas stations I have to hold the handle the whole time also. I have to find the right angle. It's a real pain in the you know what.
Just curious u say you've been building & pricing for 3 years now, what does the pricing look like today as compared to the last 3 yrs ? Any regrets not pulling the trigger sooner ?
Just for fun I looked at a half dozen local dealers online last night. Cheapest Ram 1500 with quad cab & V-6 is $46k. BH with crew cab & 5.7 hemi is $52k - $54k. Absolutely insane !! Just praying I don't total my truck anytime soon. I wouldn't be able to afford to replace it. Looked up my trade...
I disagree. More options = more problems. I perfectly happy 1 1/2 yrs later with my well equipped BH. I honestly wouldn't want a Limited. So much useless crap on them. Just like I'd never buy an iPhone when I can get a phone for $150 that does pretty much all the same stuff. Just my 2 cents.
Bottom line is u can get a BH that's darn near a Laramie minus the leather, & u can get a Laramie that's darn near a Limited depending on what options you choose. There are literally hundreds of different configurations & options on these trucks nowadays. It's kind of like choosing a health...
My credit score is always above 800. Usually around 835 to 840. I got 4.99% thru TD Auto Finance for the wife's Kia Sorento. Got 4.99% thru Chysler Capital on my Ram. The Kia sales manager straight up told me he could give me like 1.9% but then they would jack the price of the car up $2,000...
