2 mpg is actually a pretty decent improvement- almost 10%. Considering it has more power and torque and the huge increase in performance I'm pretty impressed.

New SO tested- 5.0 to 60 and high 13's in the 1/4. Thing is a ripper as predicted.
Lots of sarcasm. Lol. I liked my hemi trucks but lots of folks on here seem to think turbos are just going to explode after a year or two. Find it funny. Lol
Those turbos must be avoided at all costs! Everyone knows that anything with a turbo is no good. Especially all the heavy equipment that runs for a million miles, or the diesel trucks, or the high performance motors such as the 2Jz, B58 buick 3800, audi 2.5 or porsche flat 6. All of them are...
They tow more than a suburban, as per jeep website.
Best-in-Class Maximum Towing Up To 9,850 Pounds
Grand Wagoneer features the kind of utility that makes light work of heavy loads. Take your toys to your next destination with an available Best-in-Class maximum towing capacity( Disclosure1) of...
Talk to your dealer... in Canada you just need a business license and a certain number of vehicles registered to said business. ( maybe 5 as i recall). Pricing is one part, and ease of purchasing is another. If you know what you want you can just email the fleet manager and buy it...no BS with...
The last 3 rams I've had did not depreciate...I bought them with fleet pricing and sold in 2 -3 years for withing 5% of what I paid and I'm always in a new truck with warranty.
Absolutely nothing wrong with that, these trucks are now super nice SUV's with the added ability to put stuff in the bed. If they happen to be faster than some sports cars and nicer inside than sedans then more power to them! half tons are no longer for the guy that puts 300 thousand miles on...
Do you actually find the front leg room limited or you just find the number smaller than other trucks? I have never noticed it being limited on leg room with the seat slid right back....
These are also 1500 trucks. The priority for most people buying higher trim level trucks is comfort in the cab, ride quality and being a nice all round vehicle to drive with occasional towing and hauling. They aren't set up for heavy work- and are better for it. If you need more than 10K towing...
More power is more fun... its not that hard to figure out. If you don't want more power you can buy a 3.6.
Electric is a different ball game- not practical for me but a decently quick gas truck is very appealing. If you want a v8 then go buy a gm, they are nice trucks and still have two v8...
Driving around normally and highway driving it will be fine, then if you want to go fast you can hit it and not get walked by every other truck. 540 hp in a half ton is nuts
the stock 5.7 also doesnt sound great... nice on cold start and good growl around 4000 rpm but other than that its pretty anonymous. On the highway its a big 4cyl, and at full throttle it sounds pretty strained.
I'm willing to trade a cold start sound for 150hp and the same fuel economy.
Its hard to reason with some folks. My point is, the SO engine in the Wagoneer made it much faster than the hemi. The same motor change is now happening in the ram so we could reasonably expect similar results. Of course the Ram hemi is faster than the wagoneer hemi because of the weight...
Turns out I was wrong, the SO is 2.1 seconds quicker than the 5.7 hemi. 7.6 seconds vs 5.5.
