Thanks for your input. Yes when the ECO light is off all 8 are running. Tow Mode does not disable MDS, on the Gear Limiter you have to hit - then + up to 8 (for an 8 spd tranny) then MDS is disabled.
Per my previous update, with MDS off - no noise, with MDS on - noise. I replicated this back...
2019 RAM 1500 5.7 Big Horn 62k
I get a weird noise when coming to a slow roll or a stop.
It only happens when I'm in ECO mode
Slowing down from 6th gear - about 35 MPH - coming to a "coasting" stop
The noise happens around 10 MPH
At 10 MPH:
the ECO light goes off which I assume is about the...
So after months of dealing with this vibration issue the dealer finally got a vibration analysis tool and tested my truck. He told me that no issue was found. I was furious at this point. I took the truck up on the highway and sure enough it was gone. I went back to the dealer and spoke with the...
I replaced the original 275/55 R20 Nexans with 285/75 R20 KO2s. Oddly that's when
There is a flash update for the loud hum/droning noise from the noise cancellation system.
If you just get a regular balance those dots should be lined up with the stems ( if they take the time to do it on a balance - should have been done when new). This way you can tell if the tire is slipping on the wheel, which is unusual unless they lather it up too much when mounting. However...
I was driving by one of those police trailers that tell you your speed. I looked down at my speedometer and it was 5MPH faster. I downloaded 3 speed apps and they all verify my speedometer is wrong. Besides annoying, it's adding mileage to the truck
Anyone else?
Will do. Today the dealer tech had a good idea. He took out the driveshaft and we went for a ride in 4wd. Didn't fix it, but eliminated it from the list. Perhaps others have a drive shaft issue and can try this as well. I wish I could find a place in New England that does on car tire balancing.
I have ongoing issues with vibration, front end pop around corners and on and on. I opened a case through the Chrysler hotline and they told me they don't do buy backs. Could you please let me know the process you used with FCA? Thanks man.
I respectfully disagree, however some may be having different root causes or multiple causes. I put on new Michelins and new wheels, no run out and RFBed them all. Still vibrates. Recheck RFB. Moved one tire at a time around the truck. No difference. My guess is drive line. Dealer can't figure...
What did the noise sound like? I've got something that sounds like a rod or a bolt sliding (not rolling) back and forth in a plastic box. Turn left, clunk. Turn right, clunk. If I turn left then left, or right then right, no noise on the second turn. It sounds like it's coming from the glove...
I put on new wheels, new Michelins, RFBed, vibration still there. Dealer is escalating issue. ANYONE WITH THIS ONGOING ISSUE SHOULD CALL THE CHRYSLER HOTLINE @ 1-800-334-9200
They open a case and work with your dealer. Also if we all open cases, they will see it's a widespread issue.
Go to customwheeloffset.com enter your truck, lift, wheel and tire size you want and it will return a database of other trucks with that set up and tell you if it rubs.
