It's because of the assist down damper. My neighbor's Ford didn't come with one so he installed one of those DZ's assists. After, his cable on the assist side has slack.
I'm a mat or carpet mat guy. Things don't slide around with them. The dirtiest thing that ever goes in the bed is a yard of mulch, I take the mat out before I go get it. When done, I wash it out and put the mat back in.
I don't care about scratches or wear back there. I've never been "dinged"...
Buy the truck you need for 363 days a year. The other 2, you can grin and bear it or even rent a truck.
No offense to anyone in particular ...... but I often see guys who own 2500s or even bigger for those 3-4 days a year they'll pull something. The rest of the year, they hate how large it...
Every car I have ever owned does this....and that's alot of cars. ;). It's just the temp. on the inside vs. the outside and the humidity. Applying a higher temp. for a minute will balance it with the outside temp. and get rid of that condensation.
I'm from Pa, where the weather throws you every...
I have a Big Horn and I don't feel that way at all. I knew exactly what I was paying for and also understood what a Laramie or Limited came with vs what a Big Horn did not.
Good job on the deal. As a person who is approaching their full year of ownership in a few weeks, I sometimes wonder if the early build guys were the lucky ones. Ram had their suppliers and parts in place at initial release. I think they got overwhelmed trying to meet demand, bringing in...
I always question these types of posts. When it begins with "a friend" there goes the real first hand experience. I sometimes wonder if these posts are made on social media just to damage the reputation of a brand and if this is actually something that a competitor does in their marketing budget.
Just yanking your chain. As you know, the wealth of info on a forum is historical. The better experienced approach is "I see X is popular here, any opinions on Y or Z". You'll get a much better response.
FWIW, Ceramic for the win! My neighbor bought a black truck a couple weeks before I...
No advantage IMO if you plan to add your own audio. On my 14 I bought the non-alpine for this specific purpose as I knew I'd be upgrading all of it. With the Alpine though, you might just like it enough that you'll skip the aftermarket stuff. Only your ears can tell you.
Browse, Browse, Browse. Keep an open mind though. People with issues seek forums often to find answers, happy people not so much.
Love my Ram, other than a squeaky brake pad issue, it's been flawless, many others, not so lucky. I will offer advice about gas mileage though, expect to be at the...
A note about the reset thing. There might be a better way. I remember running into this issue in the past on my 14. If you re-label your volume (drive) to a different name, the system recognizes it as a new volume and will re-index. I got into the habit of renaming my drives by date. If I...
Good luck, I hope it's a trouble free vehicle for you. In summary, you made 3 payments +500 for the option / purchase price imbalance. For how long you used the original, that's a wash. Good job!
Yep, part of level 2 package. The early Level 2 package had the USB and then they later added the AC Outlet as part of the package at an increased price of course. ;). There are several threads here about it and people attempting it. My understanding is that you can get the parts but that trim...
Lol. I'd literally get the same exact model, color and options. There is one thing I wish I did different, leased instead of bought. I am a month away from 1 year of ownership and I just turned 9k on the ODO the other day. While I have enjoyed carrying alot of equity deal to deal, I am a...
For the price difference I believe it's a no-brainer if you really enjoy your audio. To get the base 6 speaker system sounding on par with the Alpine, you'll easily spend double, maybe even triple than what the Alpine option costs.
I hate to be the guy to ask numbers but could you post numbers. ;)
You said $1k less than what you owed. So you do have have to take in account how many payments you've made. I assume you've made 6 payments, say around $600-700 each? With no ORG or Pano, those options aren't cheap so your...
