What did you do to your Ram today???

What did I do to my Ram today?
I had an argument with a concrete pillar today and lost the argument.
+-$2,000. Not happy! 😡😢
I don’t even remember hearing my sensor go off. I backed up in an arc too fast.
It’s not the first time this has happened. I did it with my 3500 Ram. Sensor didn’t have enough time to react.

I'm guessing it feels like when I broke my windshield putting on wiper blades. I know the feeling 😵‍💫

I'm not sure about that, I'd be supremely pissed if my windshield cracked while replacing the blades. WTF!
Whereas any fool can bend a bumper on a concrete post, just take a note of all those trucks out there with that telltale shape in their rear fender. I walloped my Tundra reversing too fast into a parking space in a multi-storey car park. :ROFLMAO:

Got the Patriot bed liner installed.
Looks and feels great.
Took them about 6 hours.
$625 Orlando area.
Just had the same done, today.

Question for you, did Patriot tape off your bed drain plugs and knockouts that aren't being used (lights/outlets)? I've got experience with Line X, and was kinda pissed off to see that Patriot didn't bother to remove things.. just sprayed right over them.

Not a big deal, overall, but a little frustrating.

Its way easier than it should be. I removed the blades then proceeded to clean windshield and some how nudged the arm and it slammed down against the glass.
Its 100% my fault. 😵‍💫 but learned a valuable lesson that day

Didn't spray anything over anything I wanted. Mostly I didn't want the front drains clogged and they left them open.

ouch
i remember when i bumped my tailpipe on a rock and shifted the rear bumper when truck was only 3 months old with 3k miles on the clock back in 2023.
was real angry at the time and tried to fix it.

to this day my driver side bumper is still crooked lol

Yeah.. called a couple Patriot shops this morning, and they said they generally remove the knockouts and bed drains.. but several also said they're aware that not everyone does.

Little frustrating they didn't even ask, but it is what it is, I suppose. Luckily I'll be running a tonneau so less chance of water in the bed, anyway. *Shrug*

Thanks! :)

These Threads always seem to be fun and keep us all spending money so chime in and lets get the ball rolling....
  1. Ok, what did I do to my 2020? After replacing: ABS plastic oil pan, (PPE pan) with a plastic drain bolt which is impossible to drain due to the exhaust cross over pipe
  2. ABS plastic intake with thread biting screws that hold the throttle body, cracked
  3. OEM exhaust manifolds, both cracked
  4. oil filter location: engineering design is horrible! Relocate? Sure! then you lose 2-4 psi. Eventually leaks anyways, went back to the crappy OEM location, at least the electronic steering column is well lubricated
  5. back window? As you open or close it, the little sq. black module eventually loses its adhesion, gotta glue it back. window leaks now
  6. driver door handle, broke, took panel off. What did I find? They use plastic bits on the interlocking swing rod and everywhere else.
  7. Oh yeah, the driver door switch set, replaced it twice.
  8. the gas inlet port, the little spring loaded door, broke, (not from abuse) the little black plunger has a spring around it, corroded and of course broke, fix? Blue 100 mph tape
  9. gas mileage is crap
  10. The truck has 145,000 miles now, waiting on the U-joints to go, and the wheel bearings, cant wait, gonna be exciting to replace that crap,
  11. Carvana will give me $13,600.00, truck is gone Monday
  12. BACK TO THE SUPERDUTY.

Father in Law came over to help build a chicken coop, and we got see my '26 Warlock next to his loaded '25 Laramie. Both are great looking trucks, that red with the black trim looks really great in my opinion

I have the electric bed cover and it’s totally separated from the roller. It won’t grab and roll up now. I don’t even know where to start to get this repaired. If I’m not mistaken it’s gonna be about $800 just for the part to replace it. The electric cover is amazing, but for the money it cost, not sure about that. 🤦🏻‍♂️
Anyone have any experience with this issue?

Btw, the big gap in the pic isn’t where it’s seperated, it’s slightly to the left of that. The smaller gap there. It’s made of plastic, so I don’t see anyway of repairing it.

i need to get myself a boat...
There are a lot of lakes where I live. Thus a lot of boats. I’m about 5 minutes from the lake.
I owned a boat just like this one previously. It’s a great boat!
If you are ever in a position to really want to look for one, reach out. I have a fair bit of experience with them.
