What did you do to your Ram today???

TLDR: Shaggy dog story incoming. :D

Technically speaking I didn't do anything to my truck today, besides driving it, but I did do something else ...

Two days ago I noticed that my headrest wasn't set fully back, must have been like it about a week because, despite finding the seating arrangement quite comfy, I have had screaming backache for at least a week. So I did reset the headrest, but that was two days ago.
Thanks to a number of things my L3/L4 is mullered - 60' leader fall climbing, 12' fall solo ice climbing (landed perfectly but let go the axes in order to do so, my adze came up hard on it's leash and planted itself firmly in said spinal joint, ouch. Getting trashed in kayaks in big storm surf and running grade IV rivers, multiple motorcycle accidents including getting t-boned by an idiot (not me, this time) running a red, getting caught in a 'movement of some big material' while exploring a disused mine probably hasn't helped the back!!!
On top of that a delightful arthritic condition called Ankylosing Spondylitis (try saying that after 8 pints!) gives me grief further up around the C3, my chiro has done a pretty stellar job getting rid of the old hunchback, and yes Quasimodo springs to mind but I'm not as pretty as Charles Laughton's character. :ROFLMAO:
So, summarizing so far, both my lower and upper back have been screaming thanks to a headrest too far forward, doesn't help that I've got real short legs and a nice long back, what with that and the stupidly wide shoulders with long arms those that have ventured in calling me a knuckle-dragger haven't been too far off the mark! And that C3/C4 joint is deteriorated enough that when it plays up I get permanent pins and needles in my right arm.
Anyhows, back on topic, :ROFLMAO:, thanks to a wrecked right Achilles Tendon, 'luckily' it's probably only tendonitis, unlike the left one that I snapped 12 years ago, I have taken to dipping my feet in the tub when my wife takes a bath. Today I thought stuff it, things can't get much more uncomfortable, so after at least 200,000 mile of motoring since the last one, I took a bath. :ROFLMAO:
the first line in third paragraph i was like "uhoh... he discovered someone else have been driving his truck or there's a ghost moving things around"

No ghosts or gremlins, I'm glad to report, the more likely explanation has something to with cramming tools, cabinetry and 8' levels in the back of the cab. These easy adjust headrests are great but you only have to knock them from behind and they can move a notch or two forward. Have to keep an eye out for that one. Off to the chiro for me this afternoon, so hopefully everything will soon be back where it should be!

Had a local RAM owner ask me one day about the headrests in his 2500 he had owned for 6 months. They were pushed almost all the way forward, and he didn't know they moved like that. He had tried raising and lowering it, but somehow never pushed the right way to realize they rock too. The headrests were his only complaint about the truck.

oh yes. i thought i broke mine the first time i adjusted it because it moved way too easily.

Getting the girl cleaned up to put up for sale.
Took her to Krown for rust proofing yesterday.
Gotta fix the detached head liner speaker mount as well. I noticed too they got lazy and only glued the corners and not the sides.
I can see the 3rd brake light behind that mount so im thinking i’ll pull the light and after gluing the mount back to the headliner i’ll stick my hand in the brake light hole and put pressure from behind while i tap the grill on.
Tried searching out a new gasket for the light but came up nothin. Except for the guy in the states that wants $53 to ship to Canada.

Then i have to pull off the under hood insulation to access and replace the vent bezel that cracked a corner off when i was pulling 3” chunks of ice off the hood.
The darn thing popped right out you think i could just pop it out again? Nope. Gotta go in from behind the insulation and pop the clips. Going to try the fork method to pinch the star clips that hold the insulation.

Has anyone removed that insulation to fix washer fluid hoses?

I did mine fairly recently. I'd recommend that you buy some new clips before you start.
There is a video online for a convoluted faff to preserve the liner clips but it was not worth my time and effort for the cost of purchasing the clips and renewing them. I think that of the originals three in total came out semi intact, which held the liner in place until the new clips arrived.

*Rejigged response for clarity! Not sure what happened with my first reply, somehow the quoted text and my reply ended up as two different posts???

I tried to quote a section of your post but wouldnt let me.
So thanks for the heads up.
I’ll order the clips and tackle it next week.

If I were not keeping the vehicle I might be inclined to try the method suggested in the video on at least one of the clips to save a few bucks but dropped the idea as soon as I read that it involved bits of string, despite being quite handy my hands are not the daintiest for messing about like that. (I did relent and bought mine off Amazon - someplace I try to avoid - because Mopar wanted an extortionate amount for a bunch of plastic)

EDIT: I tell a lie, I was surprised at myself for using Amazon and went back and checked. I ordered online through O'reilly and picked up in store the next day
Dorman 700-714 for a box of 25, I recall that they did sell a smaller box but I figured that I might well have to get back in there as all I did was rejoin the washer lines.
