Anyone thoughts on these two tires?
Planning on putting 305/45r22
Nitto seems more aggressive in terms of looks but i have mixed feelings based on research

My Toyos have been great tires. Even now when they're nearing being half worn they're still grippy in the wet and excellent on the dirt. My son just put the G3s on his Colorado but hasn't had enough seat time to form an opinion. The look great and seem promising, though. I'll probably be going with Toyo again......... but I really want to see how the Bridgestone Dueler Ascents perform too.

The Bridgestone Dueler AT Ascents are absolutely amazing in every way! Steering, handling, comfort, noise..and stunning in wet, snow, and ice! Also, fairly lightweight..a 285/65R20 (~35x11.5") is 55lbs, but all sizes are lighter than average.

I've run Nitto Terra Grappler G3s on my last 4 trucks more than any other tire and always had good luck. They wear even, need very little weight to balance, and are surprisingly good off-road and in the rain/snow. They are 3 peak certified too if you deal with snow.

For comparison, I have also run Nitto Ridge Grapplers, Hankook Dynapro AT2, and Firestone Destonation A/T2, and kept coming back to the NTG3s.

For me the are the best balance of wet traction/snow performance, off road capability, and on road wear & low noise.

+1 for the Bridgestone Ascent. I have tried A LOT of different tires. Every option Nitto offers, Toyo's, Firstone XT's, Falkens, just about every other big name A/T tire that comes to mind, I've probably tried it.

If you are deciding based on how the tire looks, it's hard to look past Nitto.

If you want a tire that truly performs fantastic in every category of being a tire, I don't see how you could look past the Bridgestone Dueler Ascent. It may not be as aggressive as I normally like but I can't see myself going with another tire at this point. They are that good. (Thanks @Ready Go )

Super glad to hear you're loving them..me too..and thanks👍

Obviously! But it is just the next generation of the “same”Terra Grappler. I’m well aware of the technological advancement with the G3.

My point was I have pretty much ran Terra Grapplers for the past ~12years more than any other tire since the G2s came out and always have had very good luck. Every time I’ve tried a different tire I’ve always come back to Terra Grapplers.

So let’s not get our panties in a wad! Consider that not every comment has to be 100% technically accurate(and rarely is), assume good intent and the carry on.

Now back to helping the OP make a selection…and GO!

Glad they've been getting good reviews. The G2 is the only tire I've ever taken a massive loss on just to get them off my truck. Ran them on my F150 for about 2k miles before replacing them with Toyo AT3. The G2 would slip and slide any time the ground was wet, got to the point I didn't trust them at all at highway speeds if there was dew on the road. I suspect there was something wrong with that batch from the factory.

The Toyo AT3 on the other hand, probably the best all around tire I've ever run. They're also really light compared to most other AT tires of the same size, so if MPG is a concern they should be more efficient. Ran the AT3 on my Land Rovers as well.

They’re both excellent tires from everything I’ve read and all the reviews I’ve watched. Most consider the G3 better for more road performance but the AT3 slightly better if you plan to do more off roading. That’s why I went with the G3.
